ASSISTED LOVING (NBC, New!) - Claudia Lonow ("How to Live with Your Parents (For the Rest of Your Life)" is developing a small screen take on Rob Morris's book of the same name, "about dating alongside his 80-year-old father." Universal Television and Kapital Entertanment are behind the project, which will track "two half-siblings taking care of their dad." Lonow, Aaron Kaplan and Tracy Katsky then will executive produce. CATCH, THE (NBC, New!) - D.J. Nash ("Growing Up Fisher") is returning to the Peacock with a new comedy about Jack Heller, "a newly single guy who finds an amazing Greenwich Village apartment for well below market value - only there's a catch. Turns out that his landlord (and potential love interest), Sydney, is an uptight therapist who uses the apartment to see clients for a few hours every day. So for the first time in Jack's life, he's sharing an apartment with a woman he's not sleeping with. For now, anyway." The project is set up at Universal Television with David Janollari also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)


DETOUR (FOX, New!) - Steve Franks ("Psych") has landed a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy about "a thirtysomething rock star who, unable to rationalize his success and worried that he may not have the tools to repeat it, walks away from the spotlight at the height of his fame in an effort to rediscover the parts of his life he missed while he was busy becoming a massive success." The 20th Century Fox Television-based half-hour is inspired by the Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo's real-life experiences. Tagline Television's Chris Henze and Willie Mercer will then executive produce alongside Franks, Cuomo and his manager Dan Field. (Deadline.com)


GOOD DOCTOR (CBS, New!) - Adele Lim ("Star-Crossed") is looking to import the South Korean drama series, about "how a brilliant doctor with Aspergers uses his special gift for solving complex cases at a Boston teaching hospital." CBS Television Studios and EnterMedia Contents are behind the hour with "Hawaii Five-0" co-star Daniel Dae Kim, via his company 3AD, also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)


GOOD LIFE, THE (CBS, New!) - Bill Wrubel ("Modern Family") has snagged a pilot production commitment from the Eye for "a family man who struggles with the fact that everyone around him is pursuing their dreams and enjoying life more than he is - but who ultimately realizes he has everything he's ever wanted." The multi-camera comedy comes from Warner Bros. Television, home to Wrubel's Here Comes Scrappy banner's new overall deal. (Deadline.com)


NOD (FOX, New!) - Jason Richman ("Lucky 7") has booked a potential drama at the network - with a penalty attached - "set at a time when most of humanity loses the ability to sleep and scientists are at a loss to explain why no one is tired." 20th Century Fox Television-based Chernin Entertainment is behind the hour, which tracks Tanya and Paul, "an inter-somnial couple - she, awakened and flourishing, and he, one of the remaining few who are still handicapped by the need for sleep." Peter Chernin and Katherine Pope also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


POINT OF HONOR (Amazon/ABC Signature; W: Carlton Cuse; D: Randall Wallace) - Riley Voelkel and Patrick Heusinger are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about "best friends and brothers-in-law, Robert Sumner and John Rodes, who find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict." The former will play the John's sister Lorelei, who is married to Robert; with Patrick Heusinger as Colonel Palmer Kane. (Deadline.com)
