STAMFORD, Conn. - September 2, 2014 - NBCSN's soccer coverage this week kicks off tomorrow when the U.S. Men's National Team faces the Czech Republic, marking the first match for the United States following the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The international friendly features USMNT and Sunderland forward Jozy Altidore and goalkeepers Brad Guzan (Aston Villa) and Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake).
Coverage begins at 2 p.m. ET with host Russ Thaler and former Premier League footballer and analyst Robbie Mustoe in the studio at NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. NBC Sports Group's Premier League lead play-by-play announcer Arlo White is joined by former Liverpool defender Jim Beglin for the call on-site from Generali Arena in Prague, Czech Republic.
Coverage continues this Friday, September 5, at 10:30 p.m. ET when the LA Galaxy host the Colorado Rapids. The Galaxy are led by forwards Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane, who are currently tied for most assists in the league this season with 12 each in 23 appearances, and come into the match riding a four-game winning streak.
NBC Sports Group's lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match from StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., joined by Thaler and former Jamaican National Team player Robbie Earle.
This Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. ET, the New York Red Bulls and current MLS-leading goal scorer Bradley Wright-Phillips (20 goals in 24 appearances) host Sporting Kansas City, second in the Eastern Conference, led by midfielder Graham Zusi and defender Matt Besler, along with forward Dom Dwyer.
Steve Cangialosi, announcer for the New York Red Bulls on the MSG Network, handles play-by-play from Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., joined by Thaler and Mustoe.
