FELONY TWINS (ABC, New!) - David Hemingson ("The Deep End") has landed a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for new drama about "a young lawyer at an upscale firm who discovers that two eccentric sisters at his downscale Hollywood apartment have an obsession with crime and covertly enlists them as investigators in his cases but must keep them a secret from his superiors at the firm." Said effort comes from the ABC Studios-based Fake Empire with the company's Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein also executive producing. (Deadline.com)


LUMEN (TNT, New!) - Writer Chris Black ("Red Widow") and director Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger) are set to team for a new drama about "the famous author of a best-selling series of fantasy books who suddenly disappears, and a family of four finds themselves transported to the mystical alternate world that inspired her work. Once there, they are plunged into the middle of a war raging between rival magical forces, of light and darkness. Facing peril at every turn, the family must unravel a complicated mystery and uncover some astonishing secrets as they struggle to find their way home." The project, which has received a pilot order, comes from Amblin Television, Full Fathom Five and ABC Signature with Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, James Frey and Todd Cohen also executive producing. UNTITLED JEFF WADLOW PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Jeff Wadlow ("Bates Motel") has set up a potential drama at the Alphabet about "a young woman who, after her fiancé is murdered, finds herself recruited by an eclectic group of real-world vigilantes. Although they are all united by a desire to protect their city, their ensuing friendships and rivalries complicate this new enterprise, as each member tries to keep their daily lives separate from their night time activities." Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage and Len Goldstein will also executive produce via their ABC Studios-based Fake Empire banner. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED TOMMY JOHNAGIN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Comedian Tommy Johnagin is set to topline a new multi-camera comedy at the Eye about "a standup comic raising a family in a small Midwestern town." Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker ("Surviving Jack") will co-write the half-hour alongside Johnagin for Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold's Warner Bros. Television-based Doozer banner. Said group will likewise executive produce (with Johnagin as a co-executive producer) the project, which has received a pilot production commitment. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Rachel McAdams reportedly is in talks for the female lead on the new season of "True Detective" (Deadline.com); Jon Favreau and Kevin Misher are spearheading a potential historical drama for the NFL which "chronicles the history of football in America that predates the launch of the professional league in 1920" (Deadline.com); John Legend, Mike Jackson and Ty Stiklorius's The Get Lifted Film Company has signed an overall deal with Legendary Television (Deadline.com); Tony Sirico will return to "Family Guy" as "a heightened version of himself in several live-action moments that are sprinkled into an installment of the animated comedy" (EW.com); Craig Robinson is set to reprise his role as the Pontiac Bandit on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (EW.com); and Sally Pressman will guest on "Grey's Anatomy" in flashback as a young Ellis Grey, succeeding Sarah Paulson (TVLine.com).
