48 HOURS UNTIL MONDAY (FOX, New!) - Charlie Grandy ("The Mindy Project") has sold a new single-camera comedy to the network about "one husband's desperate struggle to not let every weekend go to hell." The project, which has a penalty attached, comes from the Universal Television-based TBD Productions with Peter Traugott and Rachel Kaplan also serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)

ICE (DirecTV, New!) - Oscar-winner Ron Bass (Rain Man) and Vince Gerardis (Jumper) are set to team with director Antoine Fuqua (The Equalizer) for a new drama "set in the treacherous and colorful world of diamond traders in downtown Los Angeles. Within the twisted labyrinth of memorable characters walks Alvy Simon, the diamond whisperer, whose genius for seeing the charisma in a stone will make him both a god and a target in this unique milieu." Alcon Television Group is behind the hour, which is anticipating a 10-episode direct-to-series commitment. Fuqua is attached to helm the debut installment from a script by Bass and Gerardis, who are also executive producing alongside Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson and Sharon Hall as well as and DirecTV executives Chris Long and Bart Peters. Ben Roberts is producing. (Deadline.com)

TAKE IT FROM US (NBC, New!) - Greg Malins ("Ground Floor") has set up a new multi-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a couple in their 50s who tell their son and his new fiancée all the mistakes they made in life in hopes the new couple can avoid making the same mistakes," as told in flashbacks in New York in the 1990s. Sony Pictures Television, home to Malins's overall deal, is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. (Deadline.com)

UNCLE BUCK (ABC, New!) - Steven Cragg and Brian Bradley ("MADtv") are spearheading a new multi-camera comedy based on John Hughes's 1989 film about "a childish man, played by John Candy, who learns how to be an adult by taking care of his brother's kids in a very childish way." Will Packer is also on board to executive produce via his Will Packer Productions banner for Universal Television with Korin Huggins co-executive producing. Kevin Meaney previously toplined a short-lived TV series for CBS based on the film in 1990. (Deadline.com)

WHITE CITY (AMC/AMC Studios; W: John Dempsey & Nick McDonell; D: Stephen Gaghan) - Ellen Woglom ("Outlaw") is the latest to be cast in the drama pilot, about Jon Liston (Tim Peper), a war junkie who has spent the better part of the last decade in Kabul with a front-row seat to the carnage. She's set as Claire Summers, "a U.S. press attache at the embassy who is good friends with Liston." Mercedes Mason and Josh Pence also star. (Deadline.com)
