TNT's Real-Life Crime Series "Cold Justice" Helps Land First Jury Trial Conviction Ahead of Season 3 Launch

Cold Case Investigation Leads to Arrest, Trial and Yesterday's Guilty Verdict in 1997 Chattanooga Murder Case

Season 3 of Cold Justice Starts Tonight at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)

As Cold Justice prepares to launch its third season tonight on TNT, the real-life investigative series has just helped secure its first jury trial conviction. This marks the latest in a long string of successful investigations for the series, which follows former prosecutor Kelly Siegler and former crime-scene investigator Yolanda McClary as they assist local law enforcement in trying to close long-unsolved cases. Since the show's premiere in September 2013, Siegler and McClary have assisted local law enforcement in securing a total of 21 arrests, 11 criminal indictments, four confessions, three guilty pleas and three convictions. Season 3 of Cold Justice launches tonight at 8 p.m. (ET/PT) on TNT, with availability on TNT's VOD, digital and mobile platforms tomorrow.

In an episode of Cold Justice that aired this past March, Siegler and McClary traveled to Chattanooga to help Sgt. Bill Phillips and Sgt. Justin Kilgore of the Chattanooga Police Department and District Attorney General Neal Pinkston take a new look at a 1997 case involving the death of Victoria Hollingsworth, a mother of two. Their investigation soon led to the arrest of her husband, Adolphus Hollingsworth. The trial that followed came to an end yesterday when then jury found Hollingsworth guilty of murder in the second degree.

In tonight's Cold Justice season premiere, Siegler and McClary head to Pocatello, Idaho, to search for clues and suspects in the case of a 25-year old woman who was brutally stabbed to death while she was sleeping. Other cases they will investigate this season include the 1997 murder of a young mother on a highway in Yakima County, Wash.; the 2007 killing of an upbeat, free-spirited 67-year-old grandmother who was found burned to death in her Fairview Park, Ohio, home; and the 1993 strangling of a 29-year-old mother and her 6-year-old daughter in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Cold Justice is produced for TNT by Wolf Reality and Magical Elves, with Emmy(R) winners Dick Wolf (Law & Order, Chicago Fire), Dan Cutforth & Jane Lipsitz (Top Chef, Time of Death) and Tom Thayer (Hitchcock, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee), serving as executive producers.
