NBC IS RENEWING ELECTUS' "FOOD FIGHTERS" FOR A SECOND SEASON, WITH NEW EPISODES RETURNING SUMMER 2015
Food Fighters has been renewed by NBC for a second season. Hosted by Adam Richman, the culinary battle - which pits amateur cooks against professional chefs - will return in the summer of 2015. Additionally, Electus International handles the international rollout of Food Fighters and has concluded deals in many of the world's major markets.
The series generated strong viewer interest in its first season last summer, delivering the biggest regularly scheduled week-one to week-two gain in adult 18-49 rating for any new series on the Big 4 networks in more than two years.
The series offers the ultimate culinary clash, as amateur cooks go head-to-head against five professional chefs who try to cook each contestant's best "family recipe" better than the contestant does. The dishes are tasted and judged by "the dinner party," a group of everyday food enthusiasts who taste both creations in a blind taste test. As the contestants advance, the cash prize grows, as does the incentive to out-cook the professional.
