Amazon Brings Acclaimed STARZ Original Miniseries "The White Queen" to Prime Instant Video

SEATTLE -- Jan. 28, 2015 -- (NASDAQ: AMZN) -- Amazon.com, Inc. today announced a content licensing agreement with Starz Digital Media that will make Prime Instant Video the exclusive online-only subscription streaming home in the U.S. for The White Queen--the Golden Globe and Emmy nominated original miniseries from premium entertainment service provider, Starz. Prime members can now watch the miniseries as often as they would like, from the Amazon Instant Video app for TVs, connected devices and mobile devices, or online at Amazon.com/PIV, at no additional cost to their membership. This marks the first deal of its kind between Amazon and Starz Digital Media in the U.S.

The White Queen--based on the historical novels from Philippa Gregory's New York Times best-selling series, The Cousins War--is set during England's War of the Roses and tells the story of three women vying for England's throne during one of the most tumultuous times in the country's history. The 10-part miniseries, nominated for both a Golden Globe and an Emmy, is brought to life by an incredible cast including Rebecca Ferguson and Janet McTeer, who were also individually nominated for a Golden Globe based on their performance as Queen Elizabeth and Jacquetta Woodville, respectively. Max Irons and James Frain are also featured in the respective roles of King Edward IV and Richard Neville.
