CODE BLACK (CBS/ABCS/CBSP; W: Michael Seitzman; D: David Semel) - Maggie Grace has scored the female lead in the drama pilot, set in the busiest and most notorious ER in the nation - LA County Hospital - where the extraordinary staff confronts a broken system in order to protect their ideals and the patients who need them the most. She'll play Leanne Royer, "the residency director in the ER, a force of nature and a force to be reckoned with." Marcia Gay Harden and Melanie Kannokada also star. (Deadline.com)


CORDON (The CW/WBT; W: Julie Plec; D: David Nutter) - David Gyasi, Christina Moses, Chris Wood and Kristen Gutoskie have all been cast in the drama pilot, about when a deadly epidemic breaks out in Atlanta, a large city quarantine is quickly enforced, leaving those stuck on the inside to fight for their lives. Gyasi is set as Atlanta police major Alex "Lex" Carnahan, "a resolute, loyal and good-hearted police officer who's responsible for maintaining the cordoned area"; with Moses as Jana, "Lex's capable girlfriend, who's trapped inside the Cordon in an Atlanta office high-rise"; Wood as Jake, "a former renegade turned cop and Lex's best friend who finds himself trapped inside the cordon"; and Gutoskie as Katie Frank, "a twenty-something grade-school teacher and single mother who's trapped inside the walls of Atlanta Midtown Hospital." GAME OF SILENCE (NBC/Sony; W: David Hudgins; D: Niels Arden Oplev) - Bre Blair, Conor O'Farrell and Demetrius Grosse have each been cast in the drama pilot, about Jackson Pogue (David Lyons), a rising attorney on the brink of success who could lose his perfectly crafted life when his long lost childhood friends threaten to expose a dark secret from their violent past. Blair will play Jessie West, "who was in love with Jackson when they were 14. When they were 19, they shared a horrific moment no one else knows about"; with O'Farrell as Roy Carroll, "the Warden at the boys prison who allowed boys to be exploited for forced labor outside the prison and also for sordid sex parties at his house"; and Grosse as Terry Suggs, "who was at the boys prison camp years ago, and who now does a lot of Roy's dirty work for him." Michael Raymond-James and Larenz Tate also star as Gil Harris and Tony Reid. (Deadline.com)


HEART MATTERS (NBC/Universal; W: Jill Gordon; D: Robert Duncan McNeill) - Actress Melissa George and director Robert Duncan McNeill have both signed onto the drama pilot, a medical soap that follows the outspoken Alex Panttiere, one of the rare female heart transplant surgeons. Alex brings an innovative eye to treating patients week to week while also balancing the complications of her professional and romantic life. George will play said role. (Variety.com)


LA CRIME (ABC/ABCS; W: Steven Baigelman; D: Tom Shankland) - Erika Christensen ("Parenthood") has been cast in the anthology series pilot, about two LA cops as they track a Bonnie & Clyde-esque serial killer team amidst the rock-and-roll, coke-infused revelry of the 1980s Sunset Strip. She'll play Betty Smith, "a single mother who was supposed to be a killer's latest victim but enters a romantic relationship with him instead." (Deadline.com)


MINORITY REPORT (FOX/20th; W: Max Borenstein; D: Mark Mylod) - Laura Regan (Atlas Shrugged: Who Is John Galt?) has snagged the female lead on the drama pilot, a small screen follow up to the 2002 film, in which Dash (yet to be cast), one of the three Precogs - still haunted by visions the future - meets Lara Vega (also yet to be cast), a detective haunted by her past who just may help him find a purpose to his gift. She'll play Agatha, "the deeply compassionate foster sister of identical twins Dash and Arthur. Like her brothers, she possesses the ability to see intoagathamovie the future, but with more clarity than they can." Samantha Morton originated the role on the film. Daniel London and Li Jun Li also star. (Deadline.com)


PROBLEM CHILD (NBC/Universal; W: Scot Armstrong; D: TBA) - Erinn Hayes ("Guys with Kids") has scored a lead role on the single-camera comedy pilot, inspired by the film about the cat-and-mouse game between a set of parents and their brilliant but mischievous child. She'll play the mom, Casey, a role played in the movie by Amy Yasbeck. (Deadline.com)


RUNNER (ABC/20th; W: Michael Cooney; D: Michael Offer) - Paula Patton (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) has been tapped for the lead role on the drama pilot, about Lauren Marks, who - after a simple twist of fate - learns her husband is not the person she believed him to be. Faced with the harsh reality that her life is forever changed, she goes on a truth seeking journey that entrenches her in a US/Mexican war over weapons and terrorism. (Deadline.com)


SNEAKY PETE (CBS/Sony; W: Bryan Cranston & David Shore; D: TBA) - Peter Gerety and Margo Martindale have both landed roles on the drama pilot, about a thirty-something con man who, upon leaving prison, takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of a cellmate, hiding out from his debtors while working for his new "family's" bail bond business. He'll play Otto, "who with his wife Audrey (Martindale), is trying to keep the family bail bond business afloat when Pete shows up on their door step." (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED DANA KLEIN PROJECT (FOX/20th; W: Dana Klein; D: Pamela Fryman) - Brian Austin Green and Liza Lapira are set to star oppposite Jenna Elfman in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about Ellen, a working mom who is in constant competition with her perfect, stay-at-home sister-in-law. She'll play "her perfect, stay-at-home sister-in-law Amy"; with Green as Amy's husband Jack, "an undisciplined, laid back, rule breaker who pretty much does whatever he wants and doesn't worry about the consequences." WARRIOR (NBC/Universal; W: David DiGilio; D: Phillip Noyce) - Rila Fukushima ("Arrow") has joined the cast of the drama pilot, about Kai Forrester (Natalie Martinez), a damaged heroine who works undercover with physical and spiritual guidance from a mysterious martial arts master to bring down an international crime lord. She'll play Tasu, Koto's daughter. In reality, she lies in a coma in her dad's apartment, but she appears to Kai in her dreams or when she's unconscious." Lance Gross and Andy Allo also stars.
