SURPRISE! "I STILL DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT" AIRS TONIGHT ON TLC
One of TLC's most-talked about series returns tonight with a twist - women who have given birth unexpectedly, twice! The hour- long special, I STILL DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT features two women who find themselves in the same predicament, twice. The special premieres Wednesday, May 6 at 9/8c on TLC.
First we meet Tawanda, a young woman who works hard and parties even harder. After meeting her soul mate, Tawanda religiously takes birth control since she does not feel ready for kids just yet. One night in the midst of a girls' night out Tawanda leaves a nightclub after experiencing excruciating pain. She tries to walk to her nearby home, but cannot make it, and luckily a taxicab stops to pick her up. It is during the cab ride that she realizes she is in labor. Thirteen years and five more kids later, Tawanda is again surprised to feel the familiar pang of labor pains and delivers another surprise baby unexpectedly while at a friend's BBQ.
Then we meet fitness fanatic Crystal, already a mother of one, who goes to the hospital thinking her intense pain is caused by a suspicious case of kidney stones - only to discover she is in labor! A year later and still recovering from her first surprise birth, she delivers a second unexpected baby in her bathroom with the help of her boyfriend and aunt.
Preceding the special at 8/7c, TLC will look back at some of the most shocking births from the original series in the special I DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT AGAIN: MOST SHOCKING. Additionally, on June 10th at 9/8c, TLC will air another one-hour special of I STILL DIDN'T KNOW I WAS PREGNANT, featuring more women who have found themselves in the same situation.
All of the specials were produced by Mike Mathis Productions for TLC.
