HGTV AND DIY NETWORK GREENLIGHT SIX NEW SERIES
New York (For Immediate Release - May 22, 2015) After delivering 11 consecutive months of ratings growth, top 10 cable network HGTV, along with its sister network, DIY Network, have confirmed production orders for six new series.
HGTV has ordered: Tiny Luxury (Bodega) which follows a build and design team that creates incredible luxury homes that are 150 to 440 square feet; Rehab Addict: Rebuilding Detroit (Chasing Light Entertainment) which showcases the network's popular historic home renovator Nicole Curtis as she helps improve a Detroit community - transforming a mansion built in the 1800s into a multi-family dwelling; Two Chicks and a Hammer w.t. (High Noon Entertainment) which features mother-daughter duo Karen Jensen and Mina Starsiak as they tackle massive home restorations to help revitalize their Indianapolis hometown; and My Lottery Dream Home (Beyond Entertainment) which pursues over-the-top house hunts with host David Bromstad as he accompanies recent lottery winners searching for the homes of their dreams.
At DIY Network, producers issued the order for Super Great Rooms (Magnetic Productions), featuring expert builder Chip Wade from the Emmy award-winning HGTV series Elbow Room. In his new series, Chip transforms dysfunctional spaces into beautiful new great rooms that the whole family can enjoy. Raise the Roof (12 Forward Entertainment) introduces Denver contractor Keith Nylund who rips the roofs off homes, doubles their sizes and then puts them back on the market.
"Sustaining our remarkable ratings momentum is our top priority, and we do that by keeping our development pipeline full and executing a flawless scheduling strategy," said Allison Page, general manager HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country.
