CASSIUS & CLAY (FX, New!) - Megan Ganz ("Modern Family") and Adam Reed ("Archer") are set to team for a new animated series at the cable channel which "follows two women living as bandits in a futuristic, postapocalyptic America." Kaitlin Olson stars as Ordwood Cassius, "a hard-drinking, quick-thinking, fast-talking bullshitter who has more debts than sense"; with Lake Bell as Shopcarter Clay, "the fastest gun in the postapocalyptic South; she doesn't go looking for trouble, she shares a station wagon with it." Said ensemble also includes Susan Sarandon, Jeffrey Tambor, JB Smoove, Robert Patrick, Stephen Root, Kevin Michael Richardson and Katy Mixon. FX Productions and Reed's Floyd County Productions will co-produce the project, which has a pilot order. (Deadline.com)


GORBURGER SHOW, THE (HBO, New!) - T.J. Miller, Josh Martin and Ryan McNeely are looking to bring their web series - "a talk show hosted by a giant blue space monster (voiced and puppeted by Miller) who has invaded a Japanese morning talk show and held its staff hostage as he attempts to understand what it means to be human by interviewing celebrities, musicians, cultural icons, and Moby" - to the small screen. The half-hour project has a pilot commitment with Martin and McNeely directing from a script they co-wrote with Miller. Ed Helms, Johnny Knoxville and the aforementioned Moby will also appear in the debut installment. 3 Arts Entertainment's Dave Becky; Funny or Die's Sean Boyle and Mike Farah; as well as The Lonely Island's Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg are among the executive producers.
