APEX (USA, New!) - Adam Alleca (The Last House on the Left) and Ashley Christine Beyer (Print) are set to team for a new drama at the cable channel about "a female assassin who saves the life of a teenage outcast and the two form an unlikely bond. Finding themselves at the heart of a dangerous conspiracy involving corrupt politicians, lawless mega-corporations, underworld thugs and a particularly crafty aging serial killer, this newly formed 'family' fights for their survival while uncovering the truth." Alcon Television Group is behind the hour with Alleca, Beyer, Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson and Sharon Hall executive producing and Ben Roberts serving as a producer. (Deadline.com)
DONNY! (USA) - Hailey Giles, Jessica Renee Russell and Jacob Anderson have all been cast in the upcoming Donny Deutsch-led comedy, "a satirical look at the media, wealth and modern romance through the eyes of Deutsch's character, a single dad who hosts his own daytime talk show." Giles will play Jackie, "Donny's top assistant and his first line of defense against crazy ex-wives and messy calendars"; with Russell as Violet, "the newest and most naive member of Danny's team of assistants"; and Anderson as Jagger Deutsch, "Donny's nine-year-old son." Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman are the executive producers. (THR.com)
