Carli Lloyd, the history-making player on the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup Champion U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, will talk about her team's thrilling victory when she visits THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN, Monday, July 13 (12:35 AM-1:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. This will be Lloyd's first late night talk show appearance since winning the World Cup Championship on Sunday, July 5.
Lloyd made sports history during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup final when she scored a hat trick to lead the U.S. to a 5-2 win over Japan, earning the U.S. team the World Cup title. Incredibly, Lloyd scored three goals in the first 16 minutes of the final, with the first two occurring in the first six minutes of the game, and within three minutes of each other. Lloyd received the Golden Ball Trophy as best player of the tournament and earned the Silver Boot for her six goals and one assist during the tournament.
In addition, Lloyd is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, and scored the gold medal-winning goals in the finals of both the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics.
