TLC HEADS BACK FOR A SECOND PUSH OF "LABOR GAMES"
Premiere season airs Tuesday, September 15 at 8/7c
After delivering a sneak peek this past May, TLC is back with the series debut of the outrageous game show LABOR GAMES. Hosted by comedian and actress Lisa Arch, it's a race against nature as a camera crew surprises parents-to-be currently in labor, offering them the opportunity to win a nursery full of prizes before the baby is born. The season premieres Tuesday, September 15 at 8/7c with two back-to-back episodes.
After the initial shock and surprise, and if they agree to play the game, a normal delivery room immediately transforms into a game show set - flashing lights, game monitor, theme music, and all. The clock is ticking as couples are faced with baby-themed trivia and challenges to try to win trips, cash, baby monitors, food, clothing, and the grand prize - a $10,000 scholarship all before the ultimate prize arrives, their newborn baby.
This season does not fall short of offering high-stakes game show drama. In the premiere episode, the first on-air birth is captured on camera. Also coming up, one woman's water breaks during the show, making it a race against the clock to get through the remaining trivia and another mom-to-be is close to delivering, dilated at 9 centimeters.
TLC has prepared an early delivery of the premiere episode, previewing it in full on TLC.com/LaborGames on Labor Day, September 7. On the premiere night, September 15, viewers can play along with the series on their mobile, tablet or computer to test their own Labor Games knowledge, and to see how they would fair in the hot seat. The play along game will also be available at TLC.com/LaborGames.
The series is filmed at the Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center in Pomona, CA. TLC has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of LABOR GAMES, which is produced by Lighthearted Entertainment.
