UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif - September 15, 2015 - Inspired by NBC's upcoming drama series "Blindspot" and the intricate body of tattoos on the mysterious Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander, "Thor: The Dark World," "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), #NationalTattooStoryDay invites everyone to share the story behind one or more of their tattoos on Wednesday, September 16 and tie into "Blindspot" by including #Blindspot. Whether your tattoo was inspired by a piece of artwork, an ex-flame, your pet, a loved one or favorite super hero, we want to hear all about it. Share it on September 16 by following these simple steps:
1. On September 16, post a photo of your tattoo on your social profiles.
2. Include your "tattoo story" in the post, explaining why the tattoo is important to you, what makes it special or why you got it. Also, include the hashtag #NationalTattooStoryDay and #Blindspot.
3. Ask your friends and family to share their tattoo stories.
NBC's "Blindspot" premieres Monday, September 21 at 10 PM ET/PT. A beautiful woman, with no memories of her past, is found naked in Times Square with her body fully covered in intricate tattoos. Her discovery sets off a vast and complex mystery that immediately ignites the attention of the FBI, which begins to follow the road map on her body into a larger conspiracy of crime, while bringing her closer to discovering the truth about her identity.
The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton ("300: Rise of an Empire," "Strike Back"), Jaimie Alexander ("Thor: The Dark World," "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."), Marianne Jean-Baptiste ("Broadchurch," "Without a Trace"), Rob Brown ("Treme"), Audrey Esparza ("Black Box"), Ukweli Roach ("The Royals") and Ashley Johnson ("Much Ado About Nothing").
Writer Martin Gero ("Bored to Death," "L.A. Complex") serves as executive producer along with Greg Berlanti ("Arrow," "The Mysteries of Laura," "The Flash"), Sarah Schechter ("The Mysteries of Laura," "The Flash"), Mark Pellington ("Cold Case") and Marcos Siega ("The Following"). Pellington directed the pilot episode. "Blindspot" is a production of Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions.
