Full Episodes of AMC and SundanceTV Shows
NEW YORK, NY - September 29, 2015 - AMC and SundanceTV today announced the launch of new mobile apps featuring a clean and functional design that puts the spotlight on watching the latest full episodes of the networks' popular and critically acclaimed shows. The app launches follow a full redesign of AMC.com earlier this year that put a similar focus on recent full-episode navigation and consumption.
The new AMC app is now available on iOS, Android and Windows. The SundanceTV app is available on iOS and coming soon on Android. New features and improvements will regularly be added to both networks' apps.
"The interfaces of our new mobile apps are built around vivid show photography and designed to allow viewers to watch the latest full episodes of their favorite AMC and SundanceTV series by authenticating through their TV provider," said Mac McKean, senior vice president of digital media for AMC and SundanceTV. "The apps also feature a large library of video extras and sneak peeks available to all users. We can't wait for viewers to download and use these beautiful extensions of our linear television experience."
The AMC mobile app currently features the premiere season of "Fear the Walking Dead" with video extras, with each episode appearing in the app the day after it first airs on AMC. The app also currently has the latest season of "Hell on Wheels" and full episodes of other shows, including a wide range of video extras. Episodes from the fifth season of "The Walking Dead" are also available through the app. AMC's new 16-part web series, "Fear the Walking Dead Flight 462," will be available beginning Sunday, October 4th, and episodes from the upcoming sixth season of "The Walking Dead" (premiering Sunday, October 11th at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT) will be available following their premiere airings on AMC.
The SundanceTV mobile app currently features all six episodes of the third season of the critically acclaimed, Peabody Award-winning series "Rectify" and episodes of the award-winning "Top of the Lake," "Close Up With The Hollywood Reporter" and other shows. The SundanceTV app also includes select movies, shorts from the Sundance Film Festival, scheduling information and - notably - a full live stream of the network.
