Turner Sports to Unveil New Marketing Campaign - "The Quest" - in Anticipation for 2015-16 NBA Season on TNT
Season-Long Campaign to Feature NBA Stars LeBron James, Chris Paul, James Harden & More Along with Comedians Mike Epps, Billy Crystal & D.L. Hughley
Turner Sports will unveil a new marketing campaign titled "The Quest" in anticipation for the 2015-16 NBA regular season. The season-long campaign will chronicle the fictitious journey some of the NBA's best teams and biggest stars navigate through during their "Quest" for an NBA Championship.
Through a series of cinematic promotional spots, produced by Turner Sports, NBA stars including the Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul, Paul Pierce and DeAndre Jordan, and the Houston Rockets' James Harden and Dwight Howard, are paired with comedians Mike Epps (Cavaliers), Billy Crystal (Clippers) and D.L. Hughley (Rockets) as they overcome the obstacles to get to the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
The first promotional spot - debuting tonight during TBS' exclusive presentation of the National League Wild Card Game - features James, Love and Irving with comedian Mike Epps. The 30-second version will also be seen across TNT, NBA TV, NBA.com and NBA on TNT's Facebook page leading up to the start of the season. Additional teams will also be featured as part of the campaign.
TNT will exclusively tip off the 2015-16 NBA regular season Tuesday, Oct. 27, with a highly anticipated doubleheader featuring the NBA Champion Golden State Warriors and 2014-15 Kia NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry hosting the New Orleans Pelicans and All-Star Anthony Davis at 10:30 p.m. ET. The Pelicans/Warriors telecast will be preceded by the Eastern Conference Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and James visiting the Chicago Bulls and All-Star Jimmy Butler at 8 p.m.
Entering its 32nd consecutive year of NBA coverage, TNT will feature a 53-game regular season and will be the exclusive home of NBA All-Star Weekend's signature events including the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, Feb. 12, State Farm All-Star Saturday Night on Feb. 13, and the 65th NBA All-Star Game from Toronto on Sunday, Feb. 14. The network will also televise more than 40 NBA Playoff games including first and second round action and the exclusive presentation of the 2016 NBA Western Conference Finals.
