CAMPAIGNERS, THE (MTV, New!) - Writer Aaron Cooley and director Jeremy Garelick have set up a new drama at the cable channel about "a group of overachieving undergrads who use their social media savvy to get a fictional candidate nominated for the upcoming senate election. What started as a political statement turns into a twisted mystery when a suspicious person claims to be their candidate, and the ensemble must scramble to cover up the campaign before their imposter gets elected." Sam Anzel will also serve as a co-producer. (Variety.com)


LIFE-CHANGING MAGIC OF TIDYING UP, THE (NBC, New!) - Marie Kondo's best-selling guide to home decluttering, subtitled "The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing," is being developed as a comedy series at the Peacock. Erica Oyama ("Burning Love") is penning the half-hour which will center on "a young woman in a moment of crisis who attempts to get her messy life in order." Greg Malins and The Jackal Group's Gail Berman also serve as executive producers for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)


LOVE, SEX AND NEIGHBORS (NBC, New!) - Gail Gilchriest ("Dallas") has sold a new drama to the Peacock about "when a fresh-faced, traditional values couple moves to Orange County, they discover that the parents at their kids' school are experimenting with polyamory." Warner Bros. Television-based Offspring Entertainment is behind the hour with the company's Adam Shakman and Jennifer Gibgot also executive producing. (Deadline.com)


NUTCRACKER, THE (NBC, New!) - Todd Graff (Bandslam) is spearheading a "contemporary reimagining of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's holiday ballet staple set in a magical New York City, with high school outcast Clara and Nutcracker-turned-Prince battling assassins across the Big Apple." Adam Shakman and Jennifer Gibgot's Warner Bros. Television-based Offspring Entertainment is behind the project with Travis Wall and Valorie Kondos Field serving as co-executive producers. OVERANALYZERS (Comedy Central; W: Brian Schacter; D: Bryan Poyser) - John Gemberling, Jessy Hodges, Milana Vayntrub and Justin Chon have all joined the cast of the Echo Kellum-led comedy pilot, about "the misadventures of a diverse group of friends (Gemberling, Kellum, Hodges, Vayntrub and Chon) in their mid-twenties as they navigate the fast-moving technological and cultural changes that make life as a young-ish person such a confusing and hilarious nightmare." In addition, Bryan Poyser has been tapped to direct. Schacter, Kellum, Marc Provissiero and Brooke Pobjoy are the executive producers. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED CHRIS CASE PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Chris Case ("Sin City Saints") has booked a semi-autobiograpical, single-camera comedy at the network about "an African-American ex-NFL player with an old-school take on parenthood who quickly marries his white Bohemian psychologist girlfriend and is forced to adjust to domestic life with her and her entitled, difficult children." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the half-hour with Chris Spencer and Management 360's Evan Silverberg and Daniel Rappaport likewise executive producing. UNTITLED SPENCER PORTER PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Spencer Porter ("Family Guy") has set up a new comedy at the Alphabet "loosely based on Porter's personal life and relationship with his wife and her family." Universal Cable Productions-based Dark Trick is behind the half-hour with Ryan Reynolds, Jonathon Komack Martin and Blake Goza also executive producing. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED TOM HERTZ PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Tom Hertz ("Rules of Engagement") is back in business with the Eye for a new multi-camera project billed as "a workplace ensemble comedy set at a public high school." CBS Television Studios is behind the project with Gerry Dee, Mike Volpe, Electric Avenue's Will Arnett and Principato-Young Entertainment's Peter Principato also among the executive producers.
