NASHVILLE - The "CMA Awards Backstage" presented by JCPenney on ABC.com and CMAAwards.com is designed to be the ultimate complement to the live telecast of "The 49th Annual CMA Awards" and will feature live feeds from cameras strategically positioned throughout the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, offering exclusive access to Country Music's Biggest Night(TM). Feeds will also be streamed from the ABC and CMA Facebook pages.
"The 49th Annual CMA Awards" airs live WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Beginning at 6:00 p.m., ET, viewers nationwide can choose between four different live digital feeds that deliver the complete Red Carpet experience:
· Red Carpet: Actress and singer Aubrey Peeples, who plays Layla Grant on ABC's hit primetime drama "Nashville," and Emmy-winning Nashville media personality Kelly Sutton will livestream from the JCPenney Lounge on the Red Carpet where they will talk to the night's biggest stars and give viewers the low down on all the most anticipated and talked about moments from the Red Carpet.
· Arrivals: See the stars as they step out of their limos and greet fans and press on the Red Carpet.
· Fashion: Positioned in the paparazzi pit where everyone stops for their must-have, Red Carpet photo, Miss Tennessee 2013 Brenna Mader offers fashion commentary about the night's biggest surprises and trends.
· The JCPenney Director's Cut: The CMA Backstage team switches between live feeds to direct viewers to must see moments from the seven camera positions on the Red Carpet.
Once the live Awards broadcast begins at 8:00 p.m., ET, the "CMA Awards Backstage" kicks into high gear. Feeds include:
· The Brad & Carrie Cam: All new this year, returning hosts and Country Music superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will share their thoughts and reactions to the night's biggest moments from performances to the evening's winners.
· JCPenney Director's Cut: Peeples and Sutton will talk to the winners, presenters and performers from the JCPenney Lounge while Mader will report in on what's trending in the Social Hub. The feed will also include all the best moments from exclusive cameras placed throughout the backstage area, including the pressroom, VIP walkway, backstage concourse, and the control room. @CountryMusic will also be in the lounge live tweeting real-time voice chats with talent using PUNDIT, a mobile app that empowers users to blog with their voice and personally interview their favorite creators. PUNDIT beta is available on the App Store.
· Backstage: Viewers can catch all the behind the scenes commotion from cameras located in the VIP Walkway and the Backstage Concourse.
· Audience: Viewers can feel the energy and excitement of the arena and also catch candid moments of their favorite artists as they enjoy the show.
· Show Live Stream: Verified pay TV viewers in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, Fresno, Raleigh-Durham, and Philadelphia can access a live stream of the full CMA Awards on ABC.com and the WATCH ABC app. Once aired, the full show will be available on demand.
