PASADENA, CA - January 6, 2016 - HISTORY presents "Join or Die with Craig Ferguson," a new 22-episode, half-hour series premiering Thursday, February 18 at 11PM ET/PT. In the show comedian Craig Ferguson debates provocative and timely topics, in his unorthodox and iconoclastic manner, with a panel of celebrities and history experts. Some of the guest panelists include: Judd Apatow (The 40 Year Old Virgin), Jack Black (School of Rock), Julie Bowen ("Modern Family"), Courtney Cox ("Cougar Town"), Jimmy Kimmel ("Jimmy Kimmel Live"), Lisa Kudrow ("The Comeback"), Jay Leno ("The Tonight Show with Jay Leno"), Joel McHale ("The Soup") and Elijah Wood (The Hobbit).
Categories range from topics such as: history's most influential drug; the most doomed presidential campaign; history's biggest douchebag; the most influential band and history's biggest frenemies.
The expression, "Join or Die" is not only Benjamin Franklin's 1754 rallying cry to the divided colonists; it is also the tattoo Craig received on his forearm after becoming an American citizen. This passion for history and spirited debate will be infused in every episode.
"Join or Die with Craig Ferguson" is produced for HISTORY by Comedy Dynamics and Green Mountain West, in association with Lionsgate TV. Craig Ferguson, Phil Cottone, Brian Volk-Weiss and Jim Biederman serve as executive producers. Tim Healy, Matt Ginsburg and Paul Cabana are executive producers for HISTORY.
