WATCH EXCERPTS FROM UNAIRED "60 MINUTES" INTERVIEW WITH DAVID BOWIE - SUNDAY ON CBS
60 MINUTES will broadcast previously unaired excerpts from the never-completed 60 MINUTES profile of David Bowie at the end of a special edition on Sunday, Jan. 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The rock legend, who died on Jan. 10 at age 69, was interviewed during three short studio sessions meant to be a part of a larger profile that never aired because of scheduling conflicts and illnesses. Bowie is pictured above in the first of those sessions on May 12, 2003 in Woodstock, N.Y.
In 2003, when he was 56, Bowie told the segment's producer-editor Robert Zimet, "I've a great, wonderful domestic life. My public life - songwriting, the recording, performances and all that, side of it - are really enjoyable. They've never been so enjoyable. So, I consider myself really a very lucky guy. I really do."
