"Divorce Court" Renewed Through 2019
FOX Television Stations has renewed Divorce Court with Lynn Toler through the 2019 season, announced Stephen Brown, Executive Vice President of Programming and Development for FOX Television Stations.
In making the announcement, Brown stated, Divorce Court is one of the most recognizable titles in the court genre and Lynn Toler is one of that genre's most trusted judges. The cases and drama are real - it's loud, funny and many times, powerful."
A television classic, Divorce Court is presided over by Judge Lynn Toler. With over twenty years of experience in law and ten years at Divorce Court, Toler brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the show.
The program delivers powerful human stories, filled with suspense and a resolution - making for a compelling 30 minutes of television. Divorce Court with Lynn Toler is the longest running court show on television, reinventing itself three times on daytime TV (airing from 1957 to 1969, from 1985 to 1992 and currently since 1999). It dates back to late 1950's when actors used to reenact real divorce proceedings for television. Of course, today there are no actors and no script - but real people and real cases.
This year, the program has experienced significant growth across all social media platforms. On its YouTube page, Divorce Court averages 1.9 million views per month. On Facebook for January 2016, it currently has over 1 million likes and its videos were viewed nearly 5 million times. As of last week, the show's reach was 4.4 million on Facebook.
Divorce Court with Lynn Toler is produced by Lincolnwood Productions and distributed by Twentieth Television.
