SPIKE'S ABOUT TO GET UNCOMFORTABLE...

"That Awkward Game Show" Set to Premiere on Wednesday, October 12 at 10pm ET/PT

One-Hour Game Show Hosted By Comedian Jeff Dye Reveals Uncomfortable and Embarrassing Secrets Between Parents and Their Grown Children

More about "That Awkward Game Show"

"That Awkward Game Show," set to premiere on Spike Wednesday, October 12 at 10pm, is a hilarious new gameshow where parents and their adult children compete to win a large cash prize while learning some of the most ridiculously shocking truths about their next of kin. The show is hosted by actor and comedian Jeff Dye ("Better Late Than Never," "I Can Do That," "Girl Code," "Last Comic Standing").

Each episode will feature three teams of two (comprised of one parent and one adult child per team) trying to figure out which embarrassing factoid is related to their teammate (and family member!). In order to advance throughout the game, contestants will have to identify uncomfortable, often outrageous, previously unknown truths about their loved ones. The parent/kid duo who answers the most questions correctly will win a major cash prize.

More on Jeff Dye - Host, "That Awkward Game Show"

Jeff Dye is an actor, prankster, nationally touring comedian, and host of Spike's "That Awkward Game Show," set to premiere Wednesday, October 12 at 10pm.

Coming off of the success of this summer's hit comedy adventure series "Better Late Than Never" on NBC, Dye is set to host Spike's hilarious new gameshow where parents and their adult children compete to win a large cash prize while learning some of the most ridiculously shocking truths about their next of kin.

Ridiculous and shocking could also describe Dye's experience traveling across Asia helping Henry Winkler, William Shatner, Terry Bradshaw and George Foreman find the adventure of a lifetime on "Better Late Than Never." Previously on NBC, Dye also hosted "I Can Do That," a one-hour comedy variety series that put six of America's brightest entertainers to the test as they competed to showcase their talents with breathtaking and unique acts -- featuring skills they didn't even know they had.

Raised in Seattle, this class clown started doing comedy at Giggles Comedy Club right out of high school and was first nationally recognized on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," where he finished third in the competition after only three years into his comedy career.

Since then, he has had two of his own shows on MTV ("Money From Strangers," "Numbnuts"), his own "Comedy Central Presents" special and starred on numerous other TV projects, including "Girl Code" and "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition."
