SHOWTIME(R) DOUBLES DOWN ON "DICE"
Comedy Series Renewed For A Second Season On SHOWTIME
LOS ANGELES, CA - September 22, 2016 - SHOWTIME has picked up a second season of the comedy series DICE with seven new, half-hour episodes to air in 2017. Produced by Fox 21 Television Studios, season two of the scripted, semi-autobiographical series will dig deeper into the many facets of Andrew Dice Clay - beyond the character who once sold out Madison Square Garden - as the unemployed comic struggles in the Vegas suburbs to be a loving father, a devoted boyfriend and a professional gambler who is stuck dealing with the effects of his outrageous brand of fame. Production will shoot in Los Angeles and Las Vegas next year.
Created by Scot Armstrong (Old School, The Hangover Part II), DICE chronicles Clay as he tries to live his life while trapped in the skin of "The Diceman." The series also stars Kevin Corrigan. Last season's guest stars included Natasha Leggero, Lorraine Bracco, Adrien Brody, Michael Rapaport, Wayne Newton, Criss Angel and Rita Rudner. Season one of DICE marked a first in network history: all six episodes were released at once to subscribers on the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME(R) and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND(R). The series executive producers are Armstrong, Sean Furst, Bryan Furst, Andrew Dice Clay, Bruce Rubenstein, Brian Gatewood and Alessandro Tanaka.
Viewers can catch up on the first season of DICE on the SHOWTIME streaming service, SHOWTIME ANYTIME and SHOWTIME ON DEMAND. SHOWTIME is currently available to subscribers via cable, DBS and telco providers, and as a stand-alone streaming service through Apple(R), Roku(R), Amazon and Google. Consumers can also subscribe to SHOWTIME via Hulu, Sony PlayStation(R) Vue and Amazon Prime Video.
