MALIK YOBA ADVOCATES FOR CRIME VICTIMS AS HOST OF TV ONE'S "JUSTICE BY ANY MEANS," PREMIERING MONDAY, OCT. 24 AT 10 P.M. ET

Season 2 Returns to Successful True Crime Monday Slate As TV One Remains Top 5 Cable Network for AA Women 25-54

SILVER SPRING, MD. - OCT. 13, 2016 - TV One's True Crime Monday night line-up will add all-new episodes of Justice By Any Means on Monday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. ET. The one-hour re-enactment crime and justice series returns with the untold stories of family members, friends and good Samaritans whose relentless pursuit of justice resulted in retribution for crimes committed on the victims the law forgot. Hosted by actor and community activist Malik Yoba (Designated Survivor, Bad Dad Rehab), Justice By Any Means guides viewers through these horrific and heroic tales.

Yoba is best known for his work as an actor on the small and big screen (Cool Runnings, New York Undercover, Empire), but it is his work as an educator and facilitator of leadership programs to encourage and improve the lives of young people around the world that are among his proudest accomplishments. As host of Justice By Any Means, he is now lending his support to victim rights issues by spreading the message of dedicated supporters responsible for bringing retribution to criminals.

"I am honored to host such an inspiring show. Although these true life crime stories are tragic and horrific, the overriding spirit of each hour of Justice By Any Means is most importantly about showcasing ordinary people doing extraordinary things on behalf of others, loved ones and strangers. Viewers will learn that they too have the power to make a difference," remarked Yoba.

Justice By Any Means delivers first-person accounts of these brave individuals as they launch their own investigations, immerse themselves in dangerous manhunts and meet face-to-face with the suspected assailants - all in the name of justice.

The premiere episode explores a case that made national headlines when Jannie Ligons, a grandmother from Oklahoma City, become a victim of sexual assault at the hands of a local police officer. While heading home one night after playing dominos at a friend's house, Jannie was pulled over and forced to endure a horrifying sexual assault by an officer sworn to protect and serve. With the support of her daughter and Attorney Benjamin Crump by her side, Jannie was ultimately able to find the courage to go public with her story. The mounting media coverage by News One Now's Roland Martin and other national outlets put pressure on the police to find her attacker and alerted the community to a dirty cop on the force. Jannie's determination to find justice ultimately unearthed a shocking story of an officer abusing his position of power to routinely prey on multiple Black women.

Justice By Any Means returns to TV One's True Crime Monday night programming, which includes hit series Fatal Attraction and For My Man from 8-11 p.m. ET. During 2Q16, TV One was a Top 3 Network on Cable in Primetime on Monday nights among key demos (AA P25-54 and W25-54). For the last three quarters, TV One has remained a top 5 Cable Network in Monday night prime among AA Women 25-54.
