CMT ROUNDS OUT CAST OF "HIS WIVES & DAUGHTERS" PILOT
Tyler Hilton, Kurt Fuller, Maria Canals-Barrera, Molly McCook, Christina Moore and Talia Tabin Join Previously-Announced Cast Members Jane Seymour, Gail O'Grady and Jeff Kober
NASHVILLE - November 16, 2016 - CMT is adding actor/recording artist Tyler Hilton ("Extant," "One Tree Hill"), Kurt Fuller ("Midnight in Paris," "Better with You"), Maria Canals-Barrera ("Wizards of Waverly Place"), Molly McCook ("The Ranch"), Christina Moore ("True Blood," "90210") and Talia Tabin ("The Grinder," "Parks and Recreation") to its upcoming pilot "His Wives & Daughters," the one-hour comedic series centering on the eclectic and cunning wives and daughters of larger-than-life country music legend and infamous womanizer, Eddie Ray Banks.
The pilot kicks-off when Eddie's estranged family is brought together unexpectedly, causing tempers to flare and old rivalries to resurface, setting the stage for startling secrets to emerge as an unforgettable mystery begins to unfold. In addition to previously-announced cast members Jane Seymour, Gail O'Grady and Jeff Kober, the ensemble includes:
Tyler Hilton as Dave, an early 1960's-era Eddie Banks lookalike and impersonator. The similarities between Dave and young Eddie Banks are striking - handsome features, a deep crooning voice, a penchant for women, and a commitment to method acting. Hilton is represented by Don Buchwald & Associates and Berwick & Kovacik.
Kurt Fuller as Corny, Eddie's reluctant sidekick. While Corny may have played the bumbling, gap-toothed guy on Eddie's popular variety show, he is actually a suave, classically trained actor and musician tired of playing second fiddle (literally). His goal has always been to steal Eddie's spotlight and second wife, Donna. Fuller is represented by APA and Leverage Management.
Maria Canals-Barrera as Magdalena, Eddie's housekeeper and personal assistant for nearly 30 years. She's been his loyal confidante through multiple marriages and may know him better than anyone else. She's also hiding a big secret. Canals-Barrera is represented by APA and Teitelbaum Artists Group.
Molly McCook as Tammy, Eddie's most recent wife. The opposite of a conniving gold-digger, Tammy is hopelessly sweet and sees the best in everyone. McCook is represented by Alan Iezman at Shelter Entertainment Group and Pam Ellis-Evenas at Ellis Talent Group.
Christina Moore as April, the sarcastic daughter of Eddie and Lorna. At a young age she won an Academy Award in a role opposite her father, but by age 13 she was unemployable and partying with the best. A veteran of all the top rehabs, April recently wrote a tell-all memoir that has the rest of the family up in arms. Moore is represented by Gersh and Dan Spilo at Industry Entertainment.
Talia Tabin as Carolyn, Eddie and Donna's highly strung daughter who has serious daddy issues. Carolyn parlayed her father's name into a recording contract in 1995 and became a one-hit wonder. Chronically insecure and desperate for attention, Carolyn's issues play out in a string of unsuitable relationships. Tabin is represented by APA, 3 Arts, and attorney Lev Ginsburg.
Production on "His Wives & Daughters" is scheduled to begin this January.
"His Wives & Daughters" joins CMT's growing roster of scripted programming including the highly-anticipated new season of "Nashville" on Thursday, January 5; the upcoming premiere of the limited-run series "Million Dollar Quartet" (working title), which chronicles young Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis' and more rise to fame; and the second season premiere of "Still The King" starring Billy Ray Cyrus this spring. Additional scripted projects in development include a script order for a television adaptation of "Varsity Blues."
"His Wives & Daughters" is written, created and co-executive produced by Dina Chapman and Steve Sessions, with Jayson Dinsmore and Julia Silverton as executive producers for CMT.
