CRIMINAL MINDS: BEYOND BORDERS (CBS) - Charisma Carpenter will appear on the show's 12th episode this season as "a yoga-obsessed divorcee whose traveling partner is suspected to have been killed by the Yeti while trekking in the Himalayas." (TVLine.com)
FAMOUS IN LOVE (Freeform) - Executive producer Melissa Carter has signed a multi-year overall deal with Warner Horizon Television. Said pact will cover her duties on the upcoming series as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
FERAL (The CW, New!) - Daegan Fryklind has booked a new drama at the netlet about "20-year-old Trident Marven, who steps out of the woods after years of isolation, unaware that she carries a secret which puts her at the center of an unfurling conspiracy." HOLY SH*T (ABC, New!) - Comedian Nick Thune has been tapped to star in a new comedy for the Alphabet which "follows the staff of a struggling church and their edgy new pastor (Thune) as they fight to survive in the modern world." Thune and Kevin Parker Flynn will pen the script for ABC Studios with Orchard Farm Productions' Mila Kunis, Lisa Sterbakov, Cami Curtis and Susan Curtis as well as 3 Arts Entertainment's Dave Becky and Michael Rotenberg executive producing. MANIFESTO (Discovery) - Keisha Castle-Hughes is in talks to star in the upcoming Unabomber series at the cable channel. She'd play Tabby, "a street agent who partners with FBI special agent Jim "Fitz" Fitzgerald (Sam Worthington). She has no experience in the department but is studying psychology, so they put her in the Behavioral Unit." (Deadline.com)
REAL LOVE (The CW, New!) - Stefanie Leder ("Faking It") is developing a whimsical romantic dramedy at the netlet "centering on a brilliant female programmer who writes the code for "the perfect boyfriend" but unexpectedly falls for her creation when he becomes self-aware." CBS Television Studios-based Solar Drive Productions is behind the hour with the company's Michael Weatherly and Tiffany Grant as executive producer and co-executive producer, respectively. SEVEN SECONDS (Netflix) - Emmy-winner Regina King ("American Crime") has signed onto the upcoming drama series as Latrice Butler, "a devout churchgoer and proud wife and mother. After she and her family move out of the projects and become first-time homeowners, Latrice is shaken to her core when she learns that her 15-year-old son, Brenton, has been involved in an incident. UNTITLED TRAE CROWDER PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Comedian Trae Crowder is set to topline a potential single-camera comedy at the network in which Trae, "based on Crowder's Liberal Redneck character, returns to his conservative Tennessee hometown to start a job at an energy research facility with his California-born wife in tow." Crowder will also co-write the half-hour alongside John Enbom for the Warner Bros. Television-based Spondoolie Productions. Enbom, Danielle Stokdyk, Rob Thomas and Dan Etheridge then are the executive producers with Crowder as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
