ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (Netflix) - A potential fifth season of the series is inching closer to reality at the streaming service. Executive producer Brian Grazer told the publication they've "found a way to create the compensation structure for all the actors and create a work matrix so they can still make movies and do other things and it will all integrate." (Deadline.com)
GOOD GIRLS REVOLT (Amazon) - Creator Dana Calvo took to Instagram with the news the period drama will not live on following its cancellation by Amazon. (Instagram.com)
IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT (New!) - MGM Television is taking another stab at a small screen take on the 1967 feature. Joe Robert Cole is spearheading the project, which will be developed internally by the studio. Tate Taylor was behind a previous effort set up at Showtime in 2014. Taylor and Warren Littlefield however will remain on board as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
L.A. LAW (New!) - Steven Bochco and Billy Finkelstein's revival of the 1980s series for 20th Century Fox Television is set to make the rounds this month via a spec script written by said duo. (Deadline.com)
LETHAL WEAPON (FOX) - Thomas Lennon has been cast as Leo Getz, "the ambulance-chasing lawyer who looks to squeeze every drop out of each petty crime." Said role was originated on the big screen by Joe Pesci. (EW.com)
MIDNIGHT, TEXAS (NBC) - Bob Jesser (Lemonade Mouth) is set to recur on the series as Shawn Lovell, "Creek's (Sarah Ramos) protective father." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED MARVEL ACTION-ADVENTURE SERIES (FOX) - Matt Nix's ("Burn Notice") drama based on the "X-Men" comics is reportedly nearing a pilot order from the network. The network issued the project a put pilot commitment back in July. Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are also among the executive producers for 20th Century Fox Television and Marvel Television. (Deadline.com)
WAYWARD PINES/THE X-FILES (FOX) - The network is continuing with conversations for new seasons of both series. The former won't be back this summer but may return at a later date with the news about the latter is potentially coming shortly. (Deadline.com)
YOUNG & SOFIA (Freeform) - The cable channel has passed on the proposed spin-off of "Young & Hungry" starring Ashley Tisdale and Aimee Carrero. (Deadline.com)
