"Countdown to Valentine's Day" Programming Event Kicked Off January 28th

New York, NY, February 1, 2017 - On the heels of Hallmark Channel's record-breaking "Countdown to Christmas" initiative, the network is launching its annual "Countdown to Valentine's Day" programming franchise with a special, multifaceted event on Thursday, February 9, at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall in New York City. Hit country music artist Brett Young, whose debut album "Brett Young" will be released on Friday, February 10, will perform two acoustic sets, one at 12:30 p.m. and the other 6 p.m.

Sam Page, who stars in Hallmark Channel's upcoming original movie "Walking the Dog" on Saturday, February 4, at 9 p.m., will be at the event between 12:30-1:30 p.m. and 6-7 p.m. to meet and greet fans.

In addition, acclaimed Los Angeles artist Robert Vargas will be painting live, with his intense approach on full display as he rapidly churns out large portraits of members in the audience whom he will intuitively select to paint. The custom paintings will be included in his affectionately titled collection, "Portraits of New York," a means to share and create a powerful, honest and intimate experience that differs with each subject.

To further celebrate the occasion, the network has partnered with Korbel California Champagne to offer attendees special access to its new, limited-edition pink floral bottle. Featuring an abstract floral design and award-winning Korbel California Brut Rosé inside the bottle, guests will have the opportunity to taste the bright flavors of strawberry, cherry and melon that makes the floral-inspired bottle the perfect way to toast Valentine's Day. Attendees will also have the opportunity to recreate Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Valentine's Day" campaign look by posing within a lavish, colorful wall of flowers.

"This fun and immersive installation is designed to allow people a unique opportunity to engage with our brand, while raising awareness of 'Countdown to Valentine's Day,'" said Susanne McAvoy, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Creative and Communications at Crown Media Family Networks. "We look forward to unveiling this one-of-a-kind experience and giving passersby a special, unexpected excuse to celebrate."

"Korbel Luscious Brut Rosé is more than just a gift to give; it is a gift to share during this season of romance," said Gary B. Heck, President and Owner of Korbel California Champagne. "We're excited to share this special bottling with Hallmark Channel fans and kick off the season of romance with this collaboration."

Hallmark Channel's "Countdown to Valentine's Day" kicked off on January 28th with the world premiere of the Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation, "Love Locks," starring real-life married couple Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn.
