Stan shares his wife's concerns for their daughter, and her frustration that the care she needs is unaffordable." (Deadline.com)
JALEN VS. EVERYBODY (ABC, New!) - The life of former NBA player and current ESPN personality Jalen Rose is set to be the focus of a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet. Nahnatchka Khan ("Fresh Off the Boat") penned the pilot, which "follows Rose as he juggles his career responsibilities with the challenges of being a single dad." 20th Century Fox Television-based Fierce Baby and ABC Studios are behind the half-hour with Jake Kasdan, Melvin Mar and Mandy Summers also serving as executive producers and Rose receiving a producing credit. Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor are also executive producing for ABC Studios. (Deadline.com)
MACGYVER (CBS) - Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park and Taylor Wily will all guest star as their "Hawaii Five-0" characters on the March 10 episode of the freshman drama. Said installment sees "the team travel to the big Island of Hawaii to aid in earthquake-relief efforts." (TVLine.com)
MACHINE, THE (Syfy) - Annet Mahendru ("The Americans") has booked a lead role on the drama pilot, about Yana, "a brilliant but troubled programmer who has created the world's first super intelligent Artificial Intelligence. With an IQ 500 times greater than Einstein, this S.A.I. is capable of conquering the world's most complex problems, such as disease, poverty, and environmental devastation. But Yana begins to suspect that instead of helping humanity, this new intelligence wants to destroy it. With her superiors under the S.A.I.'s thrall, Yana must overcome her personal demons and outwit the greatest intellect the world has ever known." (Deadline.com)
S.W.A.T. (CBS) - Writer Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and director Justin Lin's revival of the 1970s series - about "a locally born and bred S.W.A.T. lieutenant torn between loyalty to the streets and duty to his fellow officers when he's tasked to run a highly-trained unit that is the last stop for solving crimes in Los Angeles" - has received a pilot commitment from the Eye. Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film; Danielle Woodrow of Perfect Storm Entertainment; and Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman of MiddKid Productions will likewise executive produce for CBS Television Studios and Sony Pictures Television.
