A.P. BIOLOGY (NBC) - Lyric Lewis has been tapped for a role on the comedy pilot as Stef, "a teacher at Whitlock High School." (Deadline.com)
ALIENIST, THE (TNT) - Douglas Smith and Ted Levine are both bound for the upcoming original as Detective Sgt. Marcus Isaacson, "an expert in the criminal sciences and forensic medicine and the abrasive twin brother of Lucius (Matthew Shear)"; and Thomas Byrnes, "the incredibly confident ex-police chief who is prominent in helping unravel the mystery." AMERICAN GODS (Starz) - Author Neil Gaiman has inked an exclusive first-look mutltiyear deal with the series' producer FremantleMedia North America. They'll develop Gaiman's various properties via his The Blank Corporation banner. (Deadline.com)
BIG BANG THEORY, THE (CBS) - Co-stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg have reportedly offered to take a small pay cut to free up money for raises for Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch as part of a proposed two-season renewal. (Variety.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Kamal Angelo Bolden will recur on the series as Kamal, "a charismatic, magnetic, fun-loving, positive, loyal firefighter with a million dollar smile. He is the guy you want beside you in a burning building and sitting next to you cracking jokes at the bar." Said role has the option to become a series regular next season. (Deadline.com)
CONTROVERSY (FOX) - Archie Panjabi and Rita Wilson have both landed roles on the drama pilot. Panjabi will play Jourdan Price, "a crisis management consultant brought in to help with the scandal"; while Wilson is set as Constance Hawthorne, "the dignified but fierce head of UCI Board of Trustees." COTTON CLUB (FOX, New!) - Ayanna Floyd ("Empire") is developing "a soapy music series based in the hottest club in Harlem in the Roaring '20s, about the interconnected lives of the black entertainers who performed there and the white gangsters who ran it." Craig Zadan, Neil Meron, director Kenny Leon and L.A. Reid are also on board to executive produce for the Sony Pictures Television-based Storyline Entertainment. Mark Nicholson co-executive produces alongside John Rice and Joe Batteer, the project's original writers. (Deadline.com)
DRAMA HIGH (NBC) - Amy Forsyth has been cast in the drama pilot as Gwen Strickland, who "doesn't just get what she wants - she demands it; unfortunately, trouble at home and then trouble on stage start to rattle what had been a very confident high school student." (TVLine.com)
FOR GOD & COUNTRY (NBC) - Noah Mills has snagged a role on the drama pilot as Joseph J. McGuire, "the fourth member of ISA Special Operations Group Unit 7 and a veteran of the front lines. He's also the team's medic who is the quickest to violence and fond of mixed martial arts and J.K. Rowling." (Deadline.com)
GET SHORTY (Epix) - Antwon Tanner will recur on the series as Lyle, "a mid-level lieutenant in the Josias Ramos' Northern Nevada crime ring. He has a quick wit about him, rocks gold teeth, and favors his sawed-off shotgun over a pistol. Lyle is a prominent soldier in the gang war unfolding between Josias and Amara, arranging sit downs and even carrying out hits. He clashes frequently with Yago, who has a similar position of power in Amara's crew." (Deadline.com)
HAPPY PEPPERS, THE (NBC) - Jon Rudnitsky is set to star opposite Genevieve Angelson in the comedy pilot, about Henry (Rudnitsky) and Heather (Angelson), an adult brother and sister who wind up living together for the first time since they were kids, after one of them suffers a big loss. "The golden child of scrap metal parents, Henry has all the anxiety and drive of someone trying to compensate for a crappy childhood. A year after his wife dies, Henry must deal with another crisis: His crazy younger sister, Heather, has come back to "take care of him," but she needs caretaking of her own." (Deadline.com)
HOUSEHOLD NAME (ABC) - Mary Holland is the latest addition to the comedy pilot as Wendy, who "is a bit neurotic and a helicopter parent who is hesitant to move in with [Carol] Burnett's character. They do not see eye to eye about a lot of things, but she concedes because the deal is too good to pass up." (Deadline.com)
LAST SHIP, THE (TNT) - Emerson Brooks's Captain Joseph Meylan has been promoted to series regular on the show's recently ordered fifth season. (Deadline.com)
MAYANS MC (FX) - Antonio Jaramillo has boarded the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off as Michael "Riz" Ariza, "Vice President of the Mayans MC Santo Padre and former leader of a local Mexican MC that was patched over by the Mayans. He uses his even-tempered charm to mask his mistrust and lingering resentment." (Deadline.com)
MILO MURPHY'S LAW/STAR VS. THE FORCES OF EVIL (Disney XD) - The cable channel has reportedly renewed both animated series: the former's second and the latter's fourth (on top of its third, due this summer). (THR.com)

REDLINERS (NBC) - Hannah Ware is the first to be cast in the drama pilot as Anne DeWitt, "a fiercely intelligent, formidably lethal, charmingly mysterious force of nature. S.W.A.T. (CBS) - Shemar Moore ("Criminal Minds") has signed on the drama pilot as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson: "exuding calmness but always ready for action, has all the ability to become a leader - he's just not happy with the reason he just became one." SALVATION (CBS) - Shazi Raja and Rachel Drance are both bound for the summer series. The former will play Amanda Charles, "a junior reporter for a D.C. tabloid news site determined to break that one killer story that will launch her career as an investigative journalist - until she discovers the story she's onto could cause a worldwide panic." The latter then is set as Zoe, "a high school senior near graduation who's always been an achiever and done the right thing but finds herself taking risks she never thought she would after discovering a life-altering secret." SPLITTING UP TOGETHER (ABC) - Jenna Fischer has scored the female lead on the comedy pilot as the "always-prepared Lena, [who] is struggling to navigate a new life after her divorce from ex-husband Martin, whose laid-back approach to raising their three children appalls her." UNTITLED MARVEL ACTION-ADVENTURE SERIES (FOX) - Sean Teale has scored a role on the drama pilot as Marcos Diaz/Eclipse: "A natural rebel compelled by circumstances to cooperate with others, Marcos is a passionate and strong-willed fighter who sometimes lets his emotions overrule reason. His alter ego, Eclipse, who possesses the ability to absorb and manipulate photons, is a newly created mutant for this expanded X-Men universe." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED PAUL WILLIAM DAVIES PROJECT (ABC) - Lyndon Smith and Ben Shenkman have been cast in the drama pilot's ever-expanded ensemble. She's set as Allison Anderson, "a wealthy, confident, very smart, competitive and energetic new public defender who lives with her boyfriend, rookie prosecutor Seth, and her best friend Sandra (Britne Oldford), who is staying with them until she finds her own place." Shenkman then will play Roger Gunn, "the Deputy U.S. Attorney in charge of the newly minted prosecutors who is terse and to the point as he hands out the cases to his new charges." (Deadline.com)
