"STREET OUTLAWS" REVS UP THE ACTION IN ALL-NEW SEASON PREMIERING MONDAY, APRIL 10 AT 9PM ET/PT
Discovery's Motor Mondays Hits Street Outlaws and Fast N' Loud also go Head to Head in MEGA RACE Crossover Special Airing Monday, March 27th at 9PM ET/PT
(New York) - STREET OUTLAWS, the hit show that follows the nation's most skilled street racers through months of grueling preparation and exhilarating high-stakes races, returns to the spotlight with a new season premiering April 10th at 9PM ET/PT. But before TV's fastest underground racers return, they must protect their reputation and represent their turf, taking on a challenge from a motor icon outside their racing community.
Responding to appeals by fans on social media, FAST N' LOUD'S Richard Rawlings and the Gas Monkey crew challenged STREET OUTLAWS' notorious Big Chief to a race. Will one of America's finest street racers leverage his technical racing skills to emerge victorious? Or will Rawlings and team design an indomitable vehicle and cruise their way to victory? Both sides' talent, experience and grit will come into play when Discovery's MEGA RACE premieres Monday, March 27th at 9PM ET/PT.
Regardless of the MEGA RACE outcome, Big Chief must hurry back to Oklahoma City to prove his dominance in a new season of STREET OUTLAWS. The rules of the game change as the use of Pro Mods, cars modified for track use, are no longer allowed on the "list." Now, in order to reclaim a premiere spot on OKC's top 10 list of street racers, experienced drivers like Big Chief must find a new car and start from the bottom. This shakeup allows some of the show's old favorites to return and some new faces to work their way onto the list.
The new season of STREET OUTLAWS, featuring thrilling races and boiling rivalries, and the MEGA RACE special will also both be available for viewing on Discovery GO. Fans can amplify their MEGA RACE experience by living out test hits, garage tours and the final race through virtual reality, available on Discovery.com/MegaRace.
STREET OUTLAWS is produced for Discovery Channel by Pilgrim Media Group, with Craig Piligian and Sam Korkis executive producing. For Discovery, Craig Coffman is executive producer and Todd Lefkowitz is producer, and Lindsay Malinchak is associate producer.
