LIFETIME GIVES STRAIGHT-TO-SERIES GREENLIGHT TO SCRIPTED PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER, "YOU"

Drama Hails from Berlanti Productions, Alloy Entertainment and Warner Horizon Scripted Television with A+E Studios

LOS ANGELES, CA (April 19, 2017) - Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble's psychological thriller YOU received a straight-to-series, 10-episode order today, as announced by Liz Gateley, EVP and Head of Programming for Lifetime.

Regarding the pickup, Gateley offered, "YOU is the most twisted love story ever. A romantic thriller centered around a relationship between two people that gets taken too far, the series explores the line between passion and obsession. In the amazingly talented hands of Greg and Sera, we know this project will be special."

Based on Caroline Kepnes' best-selling novel of the same name, YOU is a 21st century love story that asks, "What would you do for love?" When a brilliant bookstore manager crosses paths with an aspiring writer, his answer becomes clear: anything. Using the internet and social media as his tools to gather the most intimate of details and get close to her, a charming and awkward crush quickly becomes obsession as he quietly and strategically removes every obstacle - and person - in his way.

YOU is produced by Berlanti Productions and Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Scripted Television and A+E Studios. In addition to Berlanti and Gamble, Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo serve as executive producers.
