HUNTER STREET (Nickelodeon) - The cable channel has commissioned a 20-episode second season for the series with "new quests, more mysteries and a new Hunter sibling." Production will begin later this summer in Amsterdam. (Deadline.com)
MAYANS MC (FX) - Carla Baratta and Maurice Compte have both snagged roles on the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off. The former will play Carnalita, "who, as a child, watched her family die at the hands of the Galindo cartel. Now, street-wise and driven, she protects the lost children orphaned by cartel violence." The latter then is set as "a highly regarded DEA agent tasked to bring down Miguel Castillo, the Galindo Cartel kingpin. However, his pursuit of Castillo isn't just his job, it's an obsession, driven by personal demons." (THR.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - The show's producers plan to recast the role of Archie's foe Reggie for the second season. Ross Butler originated the role during its freshman run. (TVLine.com)
SUITS (USA) - Dule Hill has signed on for a season-long arc on the series as Alex Williams, "a longtime friend of Harvey's (Gabriel Macht), who is currently a senior partner at rival law firm Bratton Gould, where he maintains an enviable roster of clients." (THR.com)
UNTITLED ERICA OYAMA PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Erica Oyama has sold a single-camera comedy to the network about Olivia, "a single mom who returns to Alabama where her Japanese karate-master father still lives and teaches. She joins the family business while enlisting her father's help in toughening up her pessimistic 9-year-old son." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor will also executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
