SPIKE TV PARTNERS WITH ACCLAIMED FILMMAKER JOE BERLINGER FOR AN EIGHT-PART DOCUSERIES ON THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCES AND MURDERS IN CHILLICOTHE, OHIO

Produced by RadicalMedia in Association with Third Eye Motion Picture Company, "Gone: The Forgotten Women Of Ohio" Premieres Saturday, July 22 at 9:00pm ET/PT

New York, NY, June 22, 2017 - Spike TV has joined forces with Academy Award(R)-nominated and Emmy(R)-winning documentarian Joe Berlinger ("Paradise Lost" trilogy) for an eye-opening eight-hour event series about the deaths and disappearances of six young women in southern Ohio.

"Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio," premiering Saturday, July 22 at 9:00pm ET/PT is the tragic saga of these young women shrouded in a mystery that includes a dark underbelly of a struggling Midwest region plagued by drug and sex trafficking, and a system that seems to have failed to protect these women.

Over the past three years, a murderous dark cloud has hung over Chillicothe, a small town about an hour's drive from Columbus, Ohio. Four of the victims' bodies have been discovered, while two women remain missing, leaving residents terrified and local authorities baffled. The investigation, which is still active and happening in real time, has extended to additional cities in the region as the body count has expanded beyond the original six.

Despite the fact that these women are mothers, wives, and daughters of area residents, many of the victims' family members are extremely frustrated. They believe that local law enforcement have dragged their heels on solving these crimes because the victims were involved with either drugs or prostitution... or both. Law Enforcement maintains they have been doing everything possible to solve these murders, while Berlinger and his crew have mounted an investigation of their own to help solve these crimes and look into the accusations of police mishandling.

"Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio" digs deep into this tortuous conundrum, uncovering hidden truths and shocking secrets that plague this once idyllic region. Berlinger's quest is unwavering - to uncover the facts and provide needed closure for the family members of the victims. While there has been other national media attention shining a light on this story, Berlinger's cameras were amongst the first to arrive and last to leave, so the series provides the most in depth reporting on this case to date.

"As a father of daughters of my own, I could not help but be drawn to wanting to help solve this mystery and to find out why these families felt that they were not getting the justice they deserved," said Berlinger. "Allocating eight hours of air time to mount a real time investigation as it unfolds was a bold decision by Spike, creating a wonderful collaboration between my team and the network."

"Although the missing women in Ohio initially garnered national media attention, they seem to have been forgotten about without any real justice being served. After discussing with Joe we were compelled to try and give these women a voice," explained Chachi Senior, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming and Development, Spike. "Partnering with Joe has been an extremely humbling experience. He is quite frankly the best at what he does."

"Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio" is produced by RadicalMedia in association with Third Eye Motion Picture Company for Spike. Joe Berlinger serves as director and executive producer. Jon Kamen, Dave O'Connor, and Justin Wilkes are executive producers for RadicalMedia, and Catharine Park also served as executive producer and directed two episodes.

Justin Lacob, Vice President, Original Series is overseeing "Gone: The Forgotten Women of Ohio" for the network.
