Additionally, Scott Rudin has signed on as an executive producer of the project, which is now expected to start production in the spring and premiere in 2019. Previously announced co-stars Annette Bening, Dennis Quaid and Matthew Broderick are no longer attached. (Deadline.com)

Also on board are Julian Sands as Lorenzo and Giuliano's father, Piero; Sebastian De Souza as their friend, Sandro Botticelli; Raul Bova as Pope Sixtus IV; Sean Bean as the Medici family's nemesis Jacopo Pazzi; Sarah Parish as Lorenzo's mother; and Alessandra Mastronardi as Lorenzo's mistress. Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker of Sethmaker Shoemeyers Productions are also on board to executive produce for Universal Television. The Peacock previously revived the property in 2012 for "Mockingbird Lane," a drama pilot that aired as a Halloween special but ultimately didn't move forward to series. (Deadline.com)
SHUT EYE (Hulu) - Aasif Mandvi is bound for the new season as Pazhani "Paz" Kapoor, "a man who grew up in the slums of Mumbai as the sole survivor of a cholera outbreak who found himself able to communicate with those who perished from the beyond. After being banned in Germany and other European countries, Paz has come to L.A., where he plies his trade as a spiritual guru through his popular new-age seminars." (THR.com)
STAR (FOX) - Evan Ross will recur on season two as Angel, "nephew to Jahil Rivera (Benjamin Bratt) and a DJ with a bad-boy streak who is heavy in the Latin music scene."
