HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, THE (Netflix) - Timothy Hutton is the latest addition to the streaming service's small screen take on Shirley Jackson's 1959 novel as "the father of the Crane siblings - played by Michel Huisman, Elizabeth Reaser and Kate Siegel - with Carla Gugino as the mother." (Deadline.com)
MANIFEST (NBC, New!) - Jeff Rake ("The Mysteries of Laura") is back in business with the Peacock for a new high-concept drama in which "a plane disappears from radar and returns five years later after being untraceable and presumed lost at sea. No time has passed for those on the plane but, for their loved ones at home, a long five years have gone by. The series follows their personal lives as well as the larger mystery and purpose that is their destiny." The Warner Bros. Television-based project, which has a put pilot commitment, is also executive produced by Compari Entertainment's Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke with Jackie Levine as a co-executive producer. SEAL TEAM (CBS) - Michael Irby, Jay Hayden, Alona Tal, C. Thomas Howell and James Liao are all bound for the newcomer as Adam, "a senior among the Green Team instructors and a once-legendary who oversees the Green Team's drills"; Brian, "a Green Team trainee with Clay (Max Thieriot)"; Stella, "a grad student who meets Clay in a bar where SEALs tend to hang out"; Ash Spenser, "a former Navy SEAL and Clay's father"; and Lucien, "a CIA analyst/chemical weapons expert." TITANS (DC) - Anna Diop has been tapped as Starfire, "an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. UNTITLED BILLY FINNEGAN PROJECT (FOX, New!) - Billy Finnegan has scored a put pilot commitment from the network for a single-camera comedy billed as "girl meets boy, boy very much doesn't notice; girl meets bus, boy notices... sort of." Nahnatchka Khan and Mandy Summers will also executive produce via their 20th Century Fox Television-based Fierce Baby banner. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GALL & GERO PROJECT (CBS, New!) - "Blindspot's" Martin Gero and Brendan Gall are set to re-team for a new drama at the Eye which "revolves around five multi-racial adopted siblings who fight for justice in the courtroom amid wildly different legal careers as they delve into the mystery of a family tragedy that exposes the sins of their father." Gero's Warner Bros. Television-based is behind the project, which has a put pilot commitment. Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter are also attached to executive produce via their fellow studio-based Berlanti Productions. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED JOSH SAFRAN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Josh Safran ("Quantico") has sold a new drama to the Eye about "a high-powered corporate attorney who joins the Texas legal team defending her wealthy estranged husband after he is arrested for the decades-old unsolved murder of his first wife." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor likewise executive producing. (Deadline.com)
