FAMILY GENE, THE (FOX, New!) - Greg Spottiswood has set up a potential drama at the network about Dr. Gwendolyn Langer "as she saves lives in a cutting edge clinic that brings together high stakes medical procedures with the miraculous advances of genetic medicine. Langer takes every case personally - because she and her sister, surgeon Evie Langer, have inherited a deadly disease of their own." The project is behind on Joselin Linder's nonfiction book, subtitled "A Mission to Turn My Deadly Inheritance into a Hopeful Future," with Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak of That's Wonderful Productions likewise executive producing for Warner Bros. Television. Linder will also serve as a consultant. (Deadline.com)
GLASS HOUSES (ABC, New!) - The life of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards is set to be the focus of another potential series, this time at the Alphabet. Leonard Dick ("The Good Wife") is spearheading the hour, "set against L.A.'s high-end real estate world. Told from the perspective of our emotionally and financially overextended lead Anisa Shattenkirk-Glass, we follow Anisa and a colorful ensemble of characters as she launches her own company and challenges the dominance of the grand dame of the L.A. real estate world, her former employer and mother-in-law, Dahli." Universal Television and NBCUniversal International Studios are behind the hour with Richards (whose life is also the focus of Paramount Network's "American Woman"), Dick and Working Title's Andrew Stearn, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner executive producing. (Deadline.com)
JACK RYAN (Amazon) - Director Morten Tyldum has signed a two-year exclusive overall deal with producer Paramount Television where he'll direct two upcoming pilots for the company as well as develop his own series projects. (Deadline.com)
LOCKE & KEY (Hulu) - Nate Corddry is the latest addition to the comic book-turned-drama pilot as Duncan Locke, "the Locke children's uncle. Duncan does what he can to ease the family's pain after his older brother's murder, and he and his boyfriend, Brian Rogers, help Nina and the kids settle into the old family home. Duncan doesn't seem to think that there's anything wrong with the house, but he possesses a few critical secrets." (Deadline.com)
MAYOR, THE (ABC) - Arsenio Hall will guest on the newcomer as "the distinguished, but hip Reverend Okoye, who is a role model and occasional father figure to Courtney Rose." (EW.com)
SNOWPIERCER (TNT) - Tony winner/Grammy nominee Lena Hall has been cast in the feature-turned-drama pilot as Sayori, "the train's archivist who is responsible for maintaining the continuity, be it in the form of oral histories, meticulous written records or ensuring key roles necessary for its continuous travels are always filled. She is a crucial member of the Train's upper management." (THR.com)
UNTITLED GREY'S ANATOMY SPIN-OFF (ABC) - Jason George's Ben Warren is set to make the jump to the show's upcoming spin-off. No specifics on how his character will make the transition were given. Jaina Lee Ortiz also stars. (THR.com)

(Deadline.com)
UNTITLED SIOBHAN BYRNE O'CONNOR PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Siobhan Byrne O'Connor ("Blue Bloods") is spearheading a new drama for the Eye about "adult siblings working in different fields that get involved in cases. It focuses on three siblings - an NYPD Detective, an ER resident and an Assistant District Attorney - as they try to navigate a new and complex family dynamic when their estranged father is exonerated from prison after serving 18 years for a murder he didn't commit." The project, from CBS Television Studios, is based on a soon-to-be-published book by James Patterson. Bill Robinson and Leopoldo Gout of James Patterson Entertainment as well as former CBS chief Glenn Geller will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
VIKINGS (History) - Danila Kozlovsky has signed onto the show's just ordered sixth season as Oleg the Prophet, "a 10th century Varangian prince who ruled the Rus' people." (Deadline.com)
