ESCAPE AT DANNEMORA (Showtime) - Bonnie Hunt is the latest addition to the limited series as Catherine Leahy Scott, "the New York State Inspector General who headed up the formal investigation of the escape of prison inmates Richard Matt (Benicio del Toro) and David Sweat (Benicio Dano) from Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, N.Y." (Deadline.com)
GOLIATH (Amazon) - Alexandra Billings is bound for the show's sophomore run as Judge Martha Wallace, "a seasoned professional who is meticulous and controlled, who presides over the trial of a teenager accused of a double murder. She's not one to cut any slack for the defense - not good for Billy McBride." (Deadline.com)
GREAT NEWS (NBC) - Cecily Strong will guest on the show's second season as Jessica, "one of Katie's (Briga Heelan) old friends who traded in her single city life for a husband and kids in New Jersey. After Jessica throws a wildly elaborate gender-reveal party, Katie begins to question her life choices, envying her friend's seemingly Pinterest-perfect life in the suburbs." (THR.com)
LIFE SENTENCE (The CW) - Riley Smith will recur on the midseason drama as Will Grant, "a rough-around-the-edges oncologist with a secret soft spot for his patients. When Stella (Lucy Hale) finds herself working closely with him, there is an undeniable chemistry between her and the good doctor, which poses a threat to her relationship with Wes (Elliot Knight) a man she married on a romantic whim when she thought she was terminally ill." MANIAC (Netflix) - Jemima Kirke is the latest bound for the Emma Stone/Jonah Hill-led series as another top secret character. (Deadline.com)
ME, MYSELF & I (CBS) - Director/producer Randall Einhorn has signed a development deal with ABC Studios where he'll direct a pilot for the studio this coming season as well as develop his own projects. (Deadline.com)
MURDER (CBS, New!) - The Eye is looking to import the BBC true crime anthology series, which takes the "audience inside the emotional journey of an investigation, allowing them to discern the truth and judge the suspects' guilt or innocence for themselves. Each episode serves as a standalone story and describes the events leading to and immediately after a murder has taken place." Amanda Green ("Lethal Weapon") is penning the script to the project, which has a put pilot commitment. Dan Lin of the Warner Bros. Television-based Lin Pictures will also executive produce with Lindsey Liberatore as a co-executive producer. (Variety.com)
NIGHTFLYERS (Syfy) - The drama pilot, based on the novella by George R.R. Martin, is reportedly on track for a straight-to-series order with Netflix co-producing. The streaming service would get international distribution and a second window domestically. In addition, Daniel Cerone has been tapped as showrunner with Mike Cahill set to helm the debut installment. (Deadline.com)
ONE OF US IS LYING (E!, New!) - The cable channel is developing Karen M. McManus's bestselling young adult novel, about "what happens when five strangers walk into detention and only four walk out alive," as a potential drama series. John Sacchi and Matt Groesch of 5 More Minutes Productions are also executive producing for Universal Cable Productions. No writer was mentioned. (Deadline.com)
SOUR MASH (NBC, New!) - Michael Gagerman and Andrew Waller (Search Party) have sold a single-camera comedy to the Peacock about "a brilliant Latina chemist from Brooklyn with a passion for making bourbon who is tapped to become the master distiller at a failing family-owned distillery in Kentucky. She finds that making great bourbon is easy compared to dealing with the eccentric family that hired her." Roy Lee and Michael Connolly of the Warner Bros. Television-based Vertigo Entertainment will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
SUPERGIRL (The CW) - Actor/director Chad Lowe will drop by the new season as Thomas Coville, "a charismatic religious leader with a surprising connection to Supergirl - his cult basically worships the Girl of Steel. He's a deeply spiritual man, committed to preaching his faith and transforming his followers' lives." He'll also helm a future installment of the series. (EW.com)
VIAGRA DIARIES, THE (The CW, New!) - More/Medavoy Management's Erwin More and Brian Medavoy are looking to bring Barbara Rose Brooker's irreverent novel, about "a woman who, after her husband has a mid-life crisis at 65 and leaves her, struggles with being single for the first time in 35 years," to the small screen. Said tome was originally developed as a comedy series in 2011-12 at HBO from writer Darren Star and director Paul Feig with Goldie Hawn and Wendi McLendon-Covey in the principal roles. Alan Nevins and Suzy Unger will produce the new incarnation. No writer was indicated. (Deadline.com)
WE CAN DO BETTER (ABC, New!) - Liz Cackowski ("The Last Man on Earth") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a soccer mom who deals with her newly "woke" life in the south as a parent, wife, American citizen, and daughter of hard core conservative parents." Lord Miller's Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Seth Cohen are also executive producing the project, which has a penalty attached, for 20th Century Fox Television. Katie Newman is producing. (Deadline.com)
