ACQUIRED (ABC, New!) - Robby Hull and Jon Harmon Feldman have sold a potential drama to the Alphabet about "an angry, acerbic widower who had retreated from the world after the death of his wife years ago. As a result of a freak accident, he now finds himself with a genius-level intellect which he will semi-willingly use to help a homicide detective solve San Francisco's most perplexing murders." The project is set up at the ABC Studios-based Random Hill with Jennifer Gwartz also serving as an executive producer. (Deadline.com)
BLACKLIST, THE (NBC) - Jonny Coyne has booked an arc on the current season as Ian Garvey, "a ruthless and opportunistic criminal who seizes a chance to gain leverage over a rival, using calculating force to manipulate others into doing his bidding." (Deadline.com)
CARNIVAL ROW (Amazon) - Simon McBurney will recur on the fantasy drama as Runyan Millworthy, "an eccentric traveling showman who leads a troupe of strange creatures called kobolds back to the city where he began his once proud, now fading career." (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Scott Bryce will guest in episode eight this season as Scott Graynor, "a politician who is very pro-police and friendly with Voight (Jason Beghe). He doesn't have the greatest allies in Chicago and finds himself in hot water when he's discovered at a crime scene with no memory of what happened." (THR.com)
DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (The CW) - Matt Ryan will reprise his role of John Constantine from his titular series and "Arrow" during a two-episode arc this season due in episodes nine and 10. (RottenTomatoes.com)
#FASHIONVICTIM (E!, New!) - Writer Daniel Waters and director Mark Waters are set to team for an hour-long dark comedy on the cable channel about Anya St. Clair, "an aspiring fashion editor, style maven, velvet-rope VIP, Instagram trendsetter, and social media chameleon who truly believes that fashion is top die for. St. Clair never goes anywhere without her lipstick, phone, credit cards, and switchblade (pearl-handled, naturally). Fashion faux-pas can prove to be fatal to anyone who is unfortunate enough to clash with her aesthetic or get in the way of her ambitions." Mark Waters will helm the Universal Cable Productions-based pilot from a script by the duo (based on source material by Amina Akhtar) with Jessica Tuchinsky and Thinkfactory Media's Leslie Greif also executive producing. Alexander Kerr will serve as a producer with Daniel Noble as a co-producer. (Variety.com)
FULL FRONT WITH SAMANTHA BEE (TBS) - Jo Miller is stepping down as showrunner of the cable channel series. "Jo is an incredibly talented writer who has played an invaluable role in the creation and success of the Full Frontal with Samantha Bee franchise over the past two years," TBS said in a statement. "We are grateful for her contributions and wish her continued success." (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Rushi Kota, Jaicy Elliot, Alex Blue Davis, Jeanine Mason and Sophia Taylor Ali will join Jake Borelli as the latest wave of interns on the show's new season. (Deadline.com)
HEARTLAND (ABC, New!) - "Galavant" alums Kat Likkel, John Hoberg and Jeremy Hall are set to re-team for a family drama at the Alphabet about "a couple who adopt a new baby - and the baby's teenage birth mother." Jon Harmon Feldman and Jennifer Gwartz's ABC Studios-based Random Hill is behind the hour, which has a put pilot commitment. Likkel and Hoberg are executive producing, with Hall as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)
HIGHLAND (TNT) - Laura San Giacomo has joined the cast of the Margaret Cho-penned drama as Sally Silverman Choi, "patriarch Jack's second wife. She's a dyed-in-the-wool New York transplant who loves Jack, their kids and the second life she's found with him; has a very contentious relationship with Margaret's mom, Young Sue and Margaret." IMPOSTERS (Bravo) - Rachel Skarsten has scored a major recurring role on the new season as Poppy Langmore, "sister to Jules (Marianne Rendón) but completely different in almost every way. She is a private school educated elitist." (Deadline.com)
NEW WORLD (ABC, New!) - Daniel Thomsen has booked a new drama at the Alphabet about "two estranged brothers who, after the death of their father, try to reconnect by taking their families on a trip together. But when their boat crashes, the two families find themselves trapped on a deserted island and must battle the elements (and their secrets) to not only survive but to build a life for themselves in this new home." SPEECHLESS (ABC) - Former" The Bachelor" star Nick Viall will guest on the second year comedy as Tyson, "a hunky B-movie actor who takes his craft way too seriously.
