AFTER ON (The CW, New!) - Rob Reid's AI-themed novel and podcast is being developed as a TV series at the netlet by Mark Goffman. The project "centers on a young entrepreneur who unwittingly causes a top social network to become sentient. Super-intelligent yet riddled with human flaws, it takes on the persona of a "mean girl". Our hero and his friends need to tame her before she - or her many enemies - annihilate humankind." CBS Television Studios is behind the hour with Goffman and Reid serving as executive producer and co-executive producer, respectively. (Deadline.com)
AMERICANS, THE (FX) - Scott Cohen is bound for the show's upcoming final season as Glenn Haskard, "a member of a State Department negotiating team that Elizabeth Jennings (Keri Russell) is starting to covertly work against." (THR.com)
ANGIE TRIBECA (TBS) - Kiersey Clemons has joined the cast of the show's fourth season as Maria Charo, "a rebellious genius recruited from a local college who speaks 50 different languages but only at the tourist level. Maria is also a tech expert, whose only weakness is computers." (Deadline.com)
BAD BOYS (New!) - Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier are reportedly set to make the rounds with a small screen spin-off of the film franchise starring Gabrielle Union as her "Bad Boys II" character, Special Agent Sydney "Syd" Burnett, "the sister of Detective Lieutenant Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) who was romantically involved with Marcus' partner, Detective Lieutenant Mike Lowrey (Will Smith). She is an undercover operative with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)." Sony Pictures Television is behind the project with Jerry Bruckheimer Television, 2.0 Entertainment and Primary Wave Entertainment also among the auspices. (Deadline.com)
DADS AND DAUGHTERS (CBS, New!) - Mark Gross and Gregg Mettler ("Man with a Plan") have sold a new multi-camera comedy to the Eye about "a reserved math teacher with Midwestern values and an outgoing personal trainer who must bite the bullet and move in together rather than splitting their daughters up when their common ex-wife heads to prison for credit card fraud." CBS Television Studios is behind the half-hour with Discount Sushi's Jon Cryer and Lisa Joyner likewise executive producing. Cryer however is not attached to star. (THR.com)
FIRST, THE (Hulu) - Hannah Ware is the latest addition to the Mars-themed drama, led by Natascha McElhone and Sean Penn. No specifics were given about her character. (Deadline.com)
HARD KNOCKS (FOX, New!) - Virgil Williams ("Criminal Minds") has booked a new drama at the network about "a brilliant, male ex-con turned university criminology professor and a tenacious female detective who team up to tackle crime by combining unique insight into the criminal mind and superior investigative skills." Universal Television is behind the hour, which has a penalty attached. Martin Chase Productions' Debra Martin Chase will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)

NEAR BETH EXPERIENCE (The CW, New!) - Rob Giles has set up a potential drama at the netlet about "a cynical young stand-up comedian who survives a near death experience. The former non-believer starts hearing the prayers of people in close proximity to her - forcing her out of her egocentric comfort zone as she attempts to help others in eccentric, funny and begrudgingly heartfelt ways." Page Fright's Mike Kelley and Melissa Loy are the executive produces for Warner Bros. Television with Giles serving as a co-executive producer. (Deadline.com)

TROUBLE FINDS ME (ABC, New!) - Martin Gero and Brendan Gall ("Blindspot") have scored a put pilot commitment from the Alphabet for a new drama about "a tough but lonely New York stuntwoman who helps an inexperienced single mom take over her late father's private detective business, forming an odd-couple partnership and friendship as they work their various P.I. cases." Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions and Quinn's House are behind the hour with the former's Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter also executive producing. (Variety.com)
UNTITLED GOFFMAN & SPURLOCK PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Mark Goffman and Morgan Spurlock are set to team for a new drama to the Eye about Travis Canon, "a pioneering investigator in the field of immersive forensics, believes that in this post-truth world, the only way to get to the facts is to LIVE IT yourself. Searching for the truth, he walks in the shoes of his victims, suspects, and witnesses." Goffman will pen the hour with Spurlock, Jeremy Chilnick and Matthew Galkin of Warrior Poets; Dawn Ostroff and Jonathan Koa of Condé Nast Entertainment; and Alex Hertzberg also executive producing for CBS Television Studios. WINNERS (NBC, New!) - Ryan Koh ("The Simpsons") has sold a single-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a group of young people struggling with growing up and becoming independent. When their parents run out of options, they send them to a residential life-coaching facility that prepares them to embrace adulthood."
