BIG LITTLE LIES (HBO) - Adam Scott is the latest co-star set to return for the show's second season as Ed Mackenzie, who "is forced to confront major challenges in his marriage to Madeline (Reese Witherspoon)." (Deadline.com)
BULL (CBS) - Dana Delany is bound for the show's March 27 episode as "a federal prosecutor who is bound and determined to imprison a young mother/physician who illegally purchases thousands of vials of marijuana-derived CBD oil to treat her patients in Virginia, where the oil is illegal." (TVLine.com)
CASUAL (Hulu) - Lorenza Izzo will recur on the show's upcoming final season as Tathiana, "a friend that Laura (Tara Lynne Barr) met traveling." (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO FIRE (NBC) - Sarah Shahi has booked a return trip to the veteran drama as Renée Royce, who "shows up to the firehouse because she needs some fire expertise for a law case she's working on and thinks of Severide (Taylor Kinney)." (EW.com)
FIX, THE (ABC) - Breckin Meyer and Merrin Dungey are both bound for the drama pilot, about Maya Travis (yet to be cast), a prosecutor who lost the trial of the century and was shredded by the media in the process, only to have the murderer strike again eight years later. He'll play Charlie Wiest, "a spineless opportunist who doesn't have enough power within the office to control its inner workings, despite his grave efforts." Dungey then will play CJ Bernstein, "a DA investigator who was one of Maya's closest friends and confidantes during the high-profile trial." (Deadline.com)
GET CHRISTIE LOVE (ABC) - Camille Guaty is the latest bound for the Kylie Bunbury-led drama pilot as Juana Miramontes, "Christie's best friend and closest female confidante. Extremely likable, Juana has an "unsinkable Molly Brown" quality: No matter how many problems life throws her, she'll never give up." (Deadline.com)
GET SHORTY (Epix) - Steven Weber and Andrew Leeds will both recur on the show's sophomore run. Weber will play Lawrence Budd, "an impossibly powerful film producer in Hollywood who commutes via helicopter and landscapes his yard with fully grown trees. A medical condition has left him hairless, so he glues on a wig and eyebrows. He collaborates in a film with Miles (Chris O'Dowd) and Rick (Ray Romano)." Leeds then will portray Ken Stevenson, "the partner of Felicity Huffman's Agent Dillard. Together, they manage Rick as their CI, and seek to bring down a drug cartel. Like Dillard, Stevenson is an expert at being supportive and upbeat while forcing people to do unsavory things." (TVLine.com)
LIKE FAMILY (NBC) - Brandon Mychal Smith ("You're the Worst") has booked the male lead in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about two twentysomething friends who met as foster children and now try to figure out what they want from life and each other in New York City. He'll play Artie, who "seems tough, but it's all surface. His soft spot is Aubrey and he is very protective of his "sister." Terrified of being poor again, he always has a bunch of jobs going. Unlike Aubrey, he's cautious about taking risks in life or in love. That's where Aubrey steps in. Frequently." (Deadline.com)
MRS. OTIS REGRETS (FOX) - Mark Moses is the latest bound for the Katie Holmes-led drama as Chase Connor, "the FBI assistant Director and Hazel's (Holmes) boss." (Deadline.com)
MURDER (CBS) - Luna Lauren Velez and Pallavi Sharda have both been cast in the Michael Chiklis/Teyonah Parris-led drama pilot, a true crime anthology which takes the audience inside the emotional journey of an investigation, allowing them to discern the truth and judge the suspects' guilt or innocence for themselves. Velez is set as Capt. Lili Alvarez, "a trailblazing leader for women in the NYPD who is a strong and supportive squad boss. She always protects the detectives under her command, and she's keeping a watchful eye on the new partnership of Detectives Garrity and Lake. But her rise through the ranks required personal sacrifice and now leaves her wondering if she neglected her private life for too long." Sharda then is playing Dr. Parvati Agrawal, "a meticulous forensic pathologist who sees herself as the final doctor for each homicide victim. But this professional compassion comes at a personal cost, and Dr. Agrawal knows all too well that her over-identification with her work can lead her into dangerous territory." (Deadline.com)
MURPHY BROWN (CBS) - Sitcom veteran Pamela Fryman has been tapped to helm and executive produce the opening installment to the show's revival for an 11th season. (Deadline.com)
QUEENS (ABC) - Tisha Campbell-Martin ("Dr. Ken") has been cast in the drama pilot, which explores the lives of five African-American sisters, all officers in the NYPD, as they face the challenges of their high-risk jobs while juggling the responsibilities of marriage, motherhood and family. She'll play Sgt. Anise Kendrick-Morrison, "a witty, tough and outspoken patrol officer with a sharp sense of humor. She is immensely proud of her family, especially her four sisters in the NYPD. The first to join the force, she proudly patrols her own childhood neighborhood in Queens." (Deadline.com)
RED LINE (CBS) - Emayatzy Corinealdi is the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about what happens after a white cop in Chicago mistakenly shoots and kills a black doctor. She'll play Tia Young, "who is described as a formidable, well-educated woman raised on the South Side of Chicago. Tia's desire to reconnect with the daughter she gave up for adoption might conflict with her aspirations for a political career. Tia is married to Aaron, and they have a 6-year-old son, Benny." (Variety.com)
ROOKIE, THE (ABC) - Mercedes Mason has signed onto the Nathan Fillion-led drama pilot as Capt. Zoe Andersen, "Nolan's confident and irreverent commanding officer." (Deadline.com)
SALVAGE (ABC) - Toby Kebbell (The Female Brain) has scored the lead role on the drama pilot, about ex-cop Jimmy Hill who just wants to be left alone after moving back home in rural Florida; but when a local murder is linked to the sunken treasure of a lost Spanish galleon, he's drawn into the investigation by an idealistic deputy and pitted against the powerful town patriarch, outside criminal agents, and his own father. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BASGALLOP & SHYAMALAN PROJECT (Apple, New!) - Writer Tony Basgallop and director M. Night Shyamalan are set to team for a new half-hour psychological thriller at the company. No plot specifics were given about the project, which has a 10-episode straight-to-series order. Blinding Edge Pictures' Ashwin Rajan is also on board to executive produce alongside Escape Artists' Jason Blumenthal, Todd Black and Steve Tisch. Taylor Latham will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED BEN WINSTON PROJECT (CBS) - Felix Mallard is set to star opposite Damon Wayans, Jr. in the multi-camera comedy pilot, about a young married couple whose lives are completely upended when a young musician moves into their spare bedroom and brings with him the complications of being an up-and-coming mega pop star - sometimes even the paparazzi. He'll play Cooper, "a sweet, charming small-town kid-turned-music superstar. He is a very positive guy who sees the good in everyone and everything, as well as being effortlessly cool and youthfully naïve." (Deadline.com)
VILLAGE, THE (NBC) - Daren Kagasoff is the latest to score a role on the ensemble drama pilot as Gabe Deluca, "Enzo's son and sort-of caretaker." (Deadline.com)
