Hallmark Channel Announces Season Six of "When Calls the Heart"

HALLMARK CHANNEL ORDERS SEASON SIX OF ORIGINAL, PRIMETIME DRAMA SERIES 'WHEN CALLS THE HEART'

Series Propelled by Ongoing Ratings Growth in Season Five

NEW YORK, NY - March 21, 2018 - Hallmark Channel has ordered a sixth season of the network's original, primetime drama series "When Calls the Heart," it was announced last night at Crown Media Family Networks' upfront event. Currently in its fifth season, "When Calls the Heart's" ratings momentum has carried over from season four. Thriving on a highly competitive Sunday night, the sweeping, frontier drama continues to build its audience.

"Most series experience a ratings decline with age, but 'When Calls the Heart' is bucking that trend thanks to our devoted fans who elevate the show to new levels each year," said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks. Based on the book of the same name by Janette Oke, the series stars Erin Krakow ("Army Wives"), Lori Loughlin ("Fuller House," "90210"), Daniel Lissing ("The Last Resort"), Jack Wagner ("The Bold and the Beautiful"), Pascale Hutton ("Sanctuary") and Kavan Smith ("Supernatural"). "When Calls the Heart" is an All Canadian Entertainment and WCTH 5 Production in association with Brad Krevoy Television and Believe Pictures. Brad Krevoy, Brian Bird, Michael Landon Jr., Alfonso H. Moreno, Paul Jackson, Cynthia J. Cohen, Neill Fearnley, Eric Jarboe, Susie Belzberg, Michael Shepard and Jimmy Townsend are executive producers.
