CATCH-22 (Hulu) - Tessa Ferrer and Jay Paulson are both bound for the limited series as Nurse Duckett, "the ward nurse who likes Yossarian but has his measure"; and The Chaplain, "a nervous, often times ineffectual, gentle chaplain who's a deep thinker, avoids conflict at all costs, and loves his wife and children intensely," respectively. (Deadline.com)
LETHAL WEAPON (FOX) - The network and producer Warner Bros. TV are "actively searching" for an actor to replace embattled co-star Clayne Crawford as Martin Riggs. Said efforts will reportedly determine if a third season will be ordered. (TVLine.com)
LIFE AT THE MARMONT (HBO) - The John Krasinski/Aaron Sorkin mini-series about the famed Chateau Marmont hotel, first announced back in 2011, is reportedly back on track at the pay channel. The revived incarnation will be based on Shawn Levy's upcoming book "The Castle on Sunset." (Deadline.com)
LIGHT AS A FEATHER (Hulu, New!) - AwesomenessTV has landed another 10-episode straight-to-series order at the streaming service for supernatural thriller based on Zoe Aarsen's Wattpad serial "Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board." Lee Fleming, Jr. is behind the adaptation, which "follows five teenage girls as they deal with the supernatural fallout stemming from an innocent game of 'Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board.' When the girls start dying off in the exact way that was predicted, the survivors must figure out why they're being targeted - and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own." AwesomenessTV's Jordan Levin, Shelley Zimmerman, Joe Davola and Brett Bouttier; Wattpad's Aron Levitz and Eric Lehrman; and Grammnet Productions' Kelsey Grammer, Tom Russo, Brian Sher and Stella Bulochnikov also serve as executive producers with Kailey Marsh as a co-executive producer. Production is slated to begin next month. (Deadline.com)
PURGE, THE (USA/Syfy) - Fiona Dourif has snagged a recurring role on the potential small screen take as "the cool and offbeat, Good Leader Tavis, the much-adored, charismatic cult leader, dispensing blessings to her fawning followers." (Deadline.com)
ROOK, THE (Starz) - Emma Greenwell, Joely Richardson, Olivia Munn, Adrian Lester, Ronan Raftery, Catherine Steadman and Jon Fletcher have all landed the principal roles on the upcoming drama, a supernatural thriller about a young woman pursued by shadowy paranormal adversaries while grappling with extraordinary abilities of her own. Greenwell will play said woman Myfanwy Thomas; with Richardson as Lady Farrier, "Myfanwy's mentor and ally who sits at the head of the Checquy, defending her tenuous hold on its secrecy"; Munn as Monica Reed, "a bold American intelligence officer with subtle supernatural powers who crashes into the Checquy investigation of her former lover's death"; Lester as Conrad Grantchester, "the suave and charismatic deputy to Farrier, who ultimately challenges her role as King"; and Raftery, Steadman and Fletcher as the four Gestalt siblings - Raftery as Robert, Steadman as Eliza and Fetcher as twins Teddy and Alex. Additionally, Kari Skogland has been tapped to direct the premiere installment while Lisa Zwerling and Karyn Usher will serve as showrunners. (Deadline.com)
TRUE DETECTIVE (HBO) - Josh Hopkins, Jodi Balfour and Lonnie Chavis are the latest faces bound for the show's third season. Hopkins will play Jim Dobkins, "a private attorney in Fayetteville, Arkansas involved in deposing state police detectives in an ongoing investigation." Balfour then will play Lori, "long-term love interest to Det. Roland West"; with Chavis as Wayne Hays's (Mahershala Ali) son at age 9. (Deadline.com)
