BOSCH (Amazon) - Jacqueline Obradors is the latest set to recur on the show's fifth season as Detective Christina Vega, "who's been brought up to work in homicide. She feels the promotion has been a long time coming and is determined to prove her worth as quickly as possible." (Deadline.com)
BOYS, THE (Amazon) - Jennifer Esposito has booked a five-episode arc on the comic-book-turned-TV series as CIA Agent Susan Raynor. (Deadline.com)
E IS FOR EDIE (Charter, New!) - Jeanie Bergen's semi-autobiographical dark comedy series - about "when a single woman becomes the sole caregiver to her disabled sister" - has reportedly been acquired by Charter Communications. Abominable Pictures is behind the project with Kate Robin, Brittany Cope and Jonathan Stern also serving as executive producers. No other details were given. (Variety.com)
FIX, THE (ABC) - Robert Wisdom is slated to recur on the midseason drama as Buck Neal, "an investigator who works closely with Ezra Wolf (Scott Cohen)." (Deadline.com)
FOR ALL MANKIND (Apple) - Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Eric Ladin, Arturo Del Puerto and Rebecca Wisocky are all bound for the space race drama. VanSanten will play Karen Baldwin, "the wife of astronaut Edward Baldwin (Joel Kinnaman)"; with Schmidt as "a NASA engineer named Margo Madison"; Ladin as Gene Kranz, "one of the heads of mission control"; Del Puerto as Octavio Rosales, "an immigrant looking for a better life for his family"; and Wisocky as Marge Slayton, "the wife of the head of the astronaut program." FRESH OFF THE BOAT (ABC) - Jaleel White will drop by an upcoming episode as Calvin, "the sarcastic and under-appreciated general manager of a car dealership where Randall Park's Louis buys an RV. Calvin does all the work for the dealership, but he is forced to play second fiddle whenever his boss comes to visit." (TVLine.com)
GOD FRIENDED ME (CBS) - Malik Yoba has scored a recurring role on the freshman drama as Miles's (Brandon Micheal Hall) uncle Terrence, "with whom he has a special bond." (Deadline.com)
IT'S A MAN'S WORLD (YouTube, New!) - Theresa Rebeck has scored a pilot order from the streaming service for a new comedy which centers on Emma, "a successful video game design executive and the sole breadwinner for her family who is used to dodging the land mines that come with being a woman in a male-dominated field. When she gets fired without explanation and finds that she's being blacklisted by everyone in her industry, Emma decides to dress as a man to get a new job and to continue supporting her family. As strange and politically incorrect as Emma's new life may be, she begins to enjoy the newfound ease of access and power that comes with being a man." Rebeck will pen the ITV Studios America-based half-hour (from an original script by Heidi Schreck) and executive produce alongside Assembly Entertainment's Christina Wayne with Jill Greenberg as a co-executive producer. OUR LADY, LTD (Epix) - Jimmi Simpson is set to star opposite Sir Ben Kingsley in the drama series as James, "a disgraced firefighter, seizes a chance, illicit opportunity to reverse his life's worsening course.
