BIG BANG THEORY, THE (CBS) - Bob Newhart will reprise his Emmy-winning role of Arthur Jeffries (aka Professor Proton) during the show's upcoming final season. (TVLine.com)
BROTHERLY LOVE (NBC, New!) - The life of NBA Rookie of the Year Ben Simmons is set to be the focus of a single-camera comedy at the Peacock about "a unique sibling relationship within a multi-ethnic family. Together, they pursue their dreams while navigating life in the spotlight in Philadelphia, a passionate city where sports is in your blood, and your blood is always boiling." Warner Bros. Television is behind the project, which has a penalty attached, with co-executive producers Patrick Kang and Michael Levin penning the script. Kourtney Kang and SpringHill Entertainment's LeBron James and Maverick Carter are the executive producers while Simmons and his brother Sean Tribe will be consulting producers. (Deadline.com)
COVE, THE (The CW, New!) - Chad Fiveash and James Stoteraux have set up a potential drama at the netlet about "estranged sisters in the aftermath of their father's death as they return to the Caribbean resort island they frequented as a family, only to discover the sun-drenched paradise is hiding many secrets, including the missing treasure that was their father's obsession and may ultimately hold the key to eternal life." Warner Bros. Television is behind the hour with Compari Entertainment's Robert Zemeckis and Jack Rapke likewise executive producing and Jackie Levine co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
CRIMINAL MINDS (CBS) - Luke Perry has booked a return trip to the veteran drama as cult leader Benjamin Cyrus. (EW.com, 9/9)
DO, RE & MI (Amazon, New!) - Gaumont Television has sold a new animated musical series for preschoolers to Amazon Studios about "three birdy best friends named Do, Re & Mi who live in a world filled with rhythm, beats and melodies." Jackie Tohn and Michael Scharf created the project, which has commitment for 52 11-minute episodes. Kristen Bell, Ivan Askwith and Corey Powell also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)
FULLER HOUSE (Netflix) - Leslie Grossman will guest on the show's fourth season finale as a doctor at the hospital where Kimmy Gibbler's brother's child is born. (TVLine.com)
