BLACK-ISH (ABC) - Quvenzhané Wallis is set to recur on the series as Kyra, "Dre's (Anthony Anderson) young cousin who comes to stay with the family for a while after her mom can't take care of her." (Deadline.com)
BOOMERANG (BET) - Brittany Inge, Joey BadA$$ and Kimberly Hall have all scored roles on the film-turned-TV series. Inge will play Crystal Garrett, "a Type-A Southern belle, Crystal works in advertising with Bryson and is one of Simone's best friends"; with BadA$$ as Camden Knight, "gorgeous, edgy and sexy, Camden is a professional musician; the only innocent thing about him is his smile"; and Hall as Rocky, "a lesbian with a dominant personality, she is very protective over her girlfriend Tia and her career." EINSTEIN (NBC, New!) - Michael Reisz is looking to import Martin Ritzenhoff and Matthias Dinter's German series about "a whip-smart, smooth-talking and illegitimate descendant of Albert Einstein who is recruited by the police for his skills at solving particularly complex cases." Universal Television is behind the hour with Intrigue's Tariq Jalil; Carol Mendelsohn Productions' Carol Mendelsohn and Julie Weitz; and Red Arrow Studios International's Jan David Frouman, Henrik Pabst and Shirley Bowers also among the executive producers. Joe Wiggins and Lucas Carter are co-producers. (Deadline.com)
EUPHORIA (HBO) - Algee Smith and Austin Abrams have both been cast in the teen drama. Smith will play McKay, replacing Brian "Astro" Bradley from the original pilot. Abrams then will portray Ethan. (Deadline.com)

LET'S SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER (FOX, New!) - Writer Tom Kapinos and director Sanaa Hamri have sold a domestic take on Mélissa Drigeard and Vincent Juillet's French series "Quadras" to the network, billed as "a structurally inventive dramedy, in which the entire first season takes place over the course of single night at a wedding." 20th Century Fox Television and Endemol Shine North America are behind the project, which has a put pilot commitment with Sharon Levy, Nicolas Coppermann and Francois-Xavier Demaison also executive producing. MAYBE YOU SHOULD TALK TO SOMEONE (ABC, New!) - Maggie Friedman has sold a potential drama to the Alphabet about "a gifted therapist, accustomed to helping other people navigate their messy lives, who finds herself facing a crisis in her own life." The project, which has a penalty attached, is based Lori Gottlieb's upcoming memoir with UnbeliEVAble Entertainment's Eva Longoria and Ben Spector also executive producing for 20th Century Fox Television. Gottlieb will receive a producing credit. (Deadline.com)
SPINNING OUT (Netflix) - Emma Roberts has bowed out of the figure skating drama due to a scheduling conflict with another project. Producers plan to recast the role with Lily Collins reportedly in negotiations. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED HANNAH SIMONE PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Hannah Simone is set to star in a single-camera comedy for the Alphabet which "follows the broke, single and nearly thirtysomething Hannah (Simone) as she and her father form a new bond when he announces that he and her mother are separating." Simone will also co-write the ABC Studios-based project, which has a put pilot commitment, alongside Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED LESLIE ODOM, JR. PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Tony-winner Leslie Odom, Jr. is attached to star in a potential comedy at the Alphabet "inspired by the experiences of real-life couple Pastor Touré Roberts and Pastor Sarah Jakes-Roberts. Leslie, played by Odom, and Hope are joint pastors at a young, hip, diverse church in Los Angeles." Saladin K. Patterson is penning the ABC Studios-based project, which has a put pilot commitment. Odom, Patterson and Simpson Street's Kerry Washington and Pilar Savone are the executive producers with Roberts and Jakes-Roberts as co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)
