ALL AMERICAN (The CW) - Demetrius Shipp, Jr. will recur on the freshman drama as Tyrone Morris, "a young, powerful, South Central gang member with an unpredictable personality who complicates things not only for Coop and Shawn, but also for Spencer, who's struggling to keep a foot in both of his two worlds: Beverly Hills and South Central." ALONE TOGETHER (Freeform) - The cable channel has canceled the comedy series after two seasons. The show's de facto finale on August 29 drew just 104,000 viewers in Live+3 ratings (79,000 adults 18-49). (Deadline.com)
BE HERE NOW (CBS, New!) - Comedian Tommy Johnagin is back in business with the Eye for a multi-camera comedy about "a young widower who decides to move his life and kids from Los Angeles to a small town in Illinois to be closer to his wife's large family." Fulwell 73's James Corden, Ben Winston and Jeff Grosvenor will also executive produce for CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
BLANK (ABC, New!) - Writer Trey Callaway and director Dave Semel are set to team for a new drama about "a successful but egotistical surgeon who suffers a traumatic brain injury that changes his personality and erases his memory, but leaves his surgical skills fully intact." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor as well as Gellevision's Glenn Geller will also executive produce the project, which has a put pilot commitment, for ABC Studios should it move forward. DEAD TO ME (Netflix) - Amy York Rubin (Gay Kid and Fat Chick) has signed on to direct and executive produce the first two episodes of the upcoming Christina Applegate/Linda Cardellini-led comedy. (Deadline.com)
DIVORCE (HBO) - The pay channel is moving forward with a six-episode third season for the Sarah Jessica Parker/Thomas Haden Church-led comedy under new showrunner Liz Tuccillo. Additionally, Becki Newton's Jackie has been promoted to series regular. (Deadline.com)
ME AND YOU (NBC, New!) - Sarah Tapscott has sold a potential comedy to the Peacock about "a pair of late bloomers who start their first real relationship by impulsively moving in together after just two dates." The project, which has a put pilot commitment, comes from 20th Century Fox Television. Fred Savage is also on board to executive produce. (THR.com)
OUR LADY, LTD (Epix) - Luis Guzmán and Kurtwood Smith are both bound for the newcomer, which follows James (Jimmi Simpson), a young grifter, as he attempts to prey upon Pastor Byron Brown (Ben Kingsley), who turns out to be far more dangerous than he suspects. The former will play Hector Contreras, "a sheriff whose misplaced hope in the romantic pursuit of a used car saleswoman drives him to engage in James' financially lucrative proposition"; with the latter as Uncle Dave, "the devoted brother of Ma, is shunned in the community after a wrongful conviction drastically upends his humdrum way of life." UNTITLED ROBIN THEDE PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Robin Thede is attached to write, executive produce and star in a comedy series for the Alphabet which "will explore how a difficult upbringing shaped Robin Sanders (Thede), a famous and successful financial advisor, and will vacillate between the character's adulthood and childhood as it examines how your past always pops up in the present." The Sony Pictures Television-based DRP Productions is behind the half-hour with Kay Cannon, Laverne McKinnon, Doug Robinson and Alison Greenspan also among the executive producers. (Deadline.com)
WOKE (Hulu, New!) - Lamorne Morris is set to topline a new comedy pilot at the streaming service about Keef (Morris), "a cartoonist living in San Francisco on the cusp of mainstream success when an unexpected incident involving cops changes everything, putting him in a state of woke." The single-camera project is based on the life of cartoonist Keith Knight and will feature animated sequences. Knight and Marshall Todd penned the script and will executive produce for Sony Pictures Television alongside Olive Bridge Entertainment's Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz; Cloud Nine Productions' Eric Christian Olsen and Kate Schumaecker; and John Will. Mo Marable is directing. (Deadline.com)
