"Dateline" Sold in 85% of the U.S. for Its Third Season in National Syndication

"DATELINE" SOLD IN 85% OF THE U.S. FOR ITS THIRD SEASON IN NATIONAL SYNDICATION

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - Feb. 26, 2019 - NBCUniversal Television Distribution has already sold "Dateline" in more than 85% of the country when it returns for its third season in national syndication, it was announced today by Sean O'Boyle, Executive Vice President of Syndication Sales, NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution.

The syndicated version of "Dateline" is currently in its second season airing on FOX Television Stations as well as leading station groups across the country and has been renewed for season three on Sinclair, Hearst, Tribune, Nexstar, Graham Media, Gray, COX Media Group, Tegna, Scripps, Sunbeam, Weigel, Block, Hubbard and more.

"Dateline" continues to be the gold standard in true crime shows as it remains a dominant and competitive performer with steady ratings growth. Delivering a 1.4 household rating in its first season, "Dateline" has been the highest-rated one-hour syndicated strip to premiere in the last six seasons. Currently in its second season, "Dateline" continues to deliver for its local stations having grown by 17% year-to-year when airing in the same time period and growing by 8% when airing in a new time period among household ratings. It is also one of the few syndicated shows to grow from its first to last quarter hour as it sees a 7% growth in households.

"Dateline" is produced for syndication by NBC News' Peacock Productions with Andy Cashman serving as executive producer. David Corvo is the senior executive producer and Liz Cole is the executive producer for "Dateline NBC."
