BAKER AND THE BEAUTY, THE (ABC) - Nathalie Kelley has booked the title role on the dram pilot, Noa Hollander: "She's the most famous woman in the country, the beautiful daughter of a real estate magnate, a successful model with an international career and, up until now, one half of a Hollywood power couple. The son of Cuban immigrants, Daniel Garcia is a simple guy who still lives with his parents and works at the family bakery. A chance encounter at a fancy restaurant - where Daniel may or may not propose to his eager girlfriend of eight years and where Noa is avoiding public speculation about a breakup from her Hollywood lover - leads to unexpected sparks and an even more unlikely love story." (Deadline.com)
BLESS THIS MESS (ABC) - Madison Curry has been cast as Constance Terry's (Pam Grier) daughter Cherry on the midseason comedy. Christina Offley originated the role in the pilot, which was subsequently retooled to a young child. (Deadline.com)
CAROL'S SECOND ACT (CBS) - Bonnie Dennison and Ito Aghayere are set to star alongside Patricia Heaton in the comedy pilot as Jenny, "Carol's big-hearted daughter who became a pharmaceutical rep because, as a pretty and charming young woman, it's an easy job"; and Dr. Maya, "the Chief Resident in charge of Carol and the other three interns," respectively. (Deadline.com)
CHARMED (The CW) - Chloe Bridges will visit the reboot series as Tessa, "a no-nonsense Whitelighter who fills in when Harry mysteriously disappears." (TVLine.com)
CITY ON A HILL (Showtime) - Georgina Reilly will recur on the newcomer, set in the early 1990s Boston, as Corie Struthers, "the estranged mother of Jimmy Ryan's (Mark O'Brien) children." (Deadline.com)
EMERGENCE (NBC) - Owain Yeoman has been tapped for a role on the Allison Tolman-led drama pilot as Benny, "an investigative reporter for Reuters." (Deadline.com)
GONE HOLLYWOOD (FX, New!) - Writer/director Ted Griffin has scored a pilot order from the cable channel for a drama set in a Hollywood talent agency during the 1980s. The project "centers on a group of talent agents who defect from an old-guard percentery to found their own, which skyrockets to industry dominance, disrupting the business and changing movies forever." Scott Rudin, Eli Bush and Garrett Basch will also executive produce. No studio was indicated. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: HATE CRIMES (NBC) - The Peacock has tabled its plans for a planted spinoff from "Law & Order: SVU." Originally given a 13-episode order back in September, the network plans to redevelop the project. Dick Wolf and Warren Leight remain attached as co-creators. (Deadline.com)
PERFECT HARMONY (A.K.A. ALL TOGETHER NOW) (NBC) - Tymberlee Hill is the latest addition to the newly retitled single-camera comedy pilot as Adams, "the richest woman in town, and a force of nature who is the undisputed star of the choir, partly because everyone's afraid of her." (Deadline.com)
REPUBLIC OF SARAH, THE (CBS) - Carlos Leal and Jonathan Slavin are the first to be cast in the drama pilot, about a small New Hampshire town that is thrust onto the world stage when the discovery of a valuable resource within its borders compels the residents to declare themselves an independent nation. Leal will play Luis, "an artist who moved to Morrisville from Miami to find a quiet place to paint"; while Slavin portrays Eugene, "a brilliant, bizarre librarian who is a resident of this small New Hampshire town." (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Co-star Luke Perry passed away on Monday at the age of 52. The actor was hospitalized last week following complications from a stroke. (@warnerbrostv)
SISTERS (FOX) - Emily Osment has snagged a role on the network's import of the Australian drama as Roxy, "a feisty, unfiltered & impulsive, irrepressible "compact spark plug of a woman." She is a former Olympic gymnast who is now a "Sports Legend of Yesteryear."" (Deadline.com)
UNINSURED (NBC) - Fran Drescher has been cast in the Adam Pally/Abby Elliot-led multi-camera comedy pilot as Linda, "described as a mother and grandmother who loves her kids and grandkids as much as she loves reminding people she's from Brooklyn." (Variety.com)
UNITED WE FALL (ABC) - Jane Curtin and director Mark Cendrowski have both been tapped for the multi-camera comedy pilot, that shows how, when two people, Bill and Jo, with young children and overzealous extended families truly love each other, barely anything is possible. She's set as Sandy, "Bill's extremely judgmental mother, who went through a health scare two years ago. Bill and Jo did the right thing and took her in, then Sandy miraculously recovered and never left." (Deadline.com)
UNTIL THE WEDDING (ABC) - Britt Lower has been cast in the Olivia Thirlby/E.J. Bonilla-led drama pilot as Naomi, "Adrienne's roommate and best friend. Defiantly single, defiant in general - there's nothing Naomi loves more than a good fight. Smart, uncensored, very funny, Naomi's an up- and-coming writer with a new book of essays that's getting serious traction. Though Naomi would say anything to anyone, there are very few people she truly lets in. A fiercely loyal friend, Naomi would go to the end of Earth for the people she loves." (Deadline.com)
WHY WOMEN KILL (CBSAA) - Sam Jaeger is the latest to score a role on the series as Rob: "Seen in 1963. Confident and ambitious, he is Beth Ann's husband, an ex-jock who was born into a blue collar family, but who has worked his ass off to end up in a white collar world. The quintessential early 1960s catered-to husband, he enjoys his position as benevolent provider, provided Beth Ann remains the subservient homemaker." (Deadline.com)
YOU (Netflix) - Marielle Scott is the latest set to recur on the second season as Lucy, "an edgy-chic literary agent with a deadpan wit and a sense of humor about her own LA-ness. Her career-driven nature is balanced by her earthy partner Sunrise and their toddler." (Deadline.com)
